Understanding Ronda Rousey's star power and all the goodwill and attention she brings to the table from sources outside the WWE, it's almost a given that Ronda will become women's champion at some point during her run.  Even when you consider that all the outside goodwill that Ronda brings is, let's be honest, far greater than what Nia Jax brings, do you think it would be a mistake to hotshot the title onto Ronda with a win over Nia Jax at MITB, or would you be ok with them pulling the trigger and giving Ronda the title at this early point in her run?

I think it’s WAY too soon to actually do this match.  If they do it, Ronda has to win or it hurts her badly.  But, if she does win, Nia looks bad.  My hope is that someone (probably Natalya) jumps Ronda for jumping the line and it starts a feud with that person and gets her out of the Title picture.  It makes a ton of sense to have Ronda work with an uber-talented vet like Nattie at this point in her career.

Back in WCW, Chris Jericho did the angle where he’d call out Goldberg. Goldberg wouldn’t be there to answer etc. I thought it was a funny angle and helped get Jericho over. Does it surprise you the WWE haven’t done a similar angle with Brock Lesnar?

No because Roman Reigns has done the angle, just recently in fact.  Plus, Seth Rollins has said the same thing on Raw as well.

As I recall, WWE moved the start time of their pay-per-views to 8 pm (Eastern) in the summer of 1998 because Sunday Night Heat aired on USA Network from 7 pm.  Since that’s not the case now and if WWE Network specials are going to go over 3 hours, could they not put the start time back to 7 pm?

They definitely could if they wanted to.  That would be fine by me.  But the flip side is that they like their pre-game shows and may think that 5 p.m. is a better start time for the West Coast, especially when shows originate from out here.  It gives people more time to get to the event.

I saw your column about wanting Vince to get busy with the XFL.  Do you think he would really stop paying attention to WWE?

No, I don’t think he would ever just stop paying attention to the WWE product.  He is ingrained in it, and also the corporate partners want him involved.  With that said, it’s no secret that when he was busy playing his on-air character back in the day, he allowed those under him to do more with rest of the show, while he concentrated on his program.  That is the hope that I have if the XFL can be viable.  There is only so much time in a day, even for Vince McMahon.

Do you think that by booking Braun so dominant that they have created a problem? He is so dominant that they can't really put him up against anybody without it hurting them, because he's pretty much going to destroy them. Could that be why he's being booked in these meaningless tag team matches? That being said, who do you think they could put him in a credible feud with where the booking could be even? Also what would you like to see them do with him? I would love to see him go after and win the Universal Championship, which should have happened ages ago. But even then who could possibly take it from him down the line?

At this point in time, it’s a problem because they don’t have him in the Title picture but they need to keep him strong.  They could put him in a credible feud with Brock Lesnar or Seth Rollins very easily.  If it’s me, I have one of those two beat Lesnar and free the Title belt, and then have the new champ feud with the other guy.  Plus you can always have other guys feud with him.  That is the beauty of booking, you can tell a story if you do it properly.
