WWE announced this afternoon that later this week, they will announce the competitors for the June WWE UK Championship Tournament events that will air from Royal Albert Hall on the WWE Network. Jack Gallagher is the lone confirmed competitor currently.
WWE also announced that when they return with live action at the Download Music Festival in Great Britain, those events (6/8-6/10) will host the opening rounds of the tournament.
During the post-WWE NXT Takeover: New Orleans media scrum, Triple H announced that the June WWE UK Championship events at Royal Albert Hall would have two distinct themes. On 6/18, there will be the tournament finals to determine who will challenge the WWE UK champion, currently Pete Dunne, on 6/19. The remainder of the 6/19 event will feature WWE UK competitors facing WWE NXT talents.
