CHANGING THE WWE BOOKING PHILOSOPHY, THE STATE OF CARMELLA, AMERICAN ALPHA AND MORE

There's a site that sometimes (other times, often) posts your news articles. Granted that they name you as their source but my question is, shouldn't they be paying you since you do all the hard work?  Don't worry. When it comes to integrity and news reporting, you're still and will always be #1.

Hey, it would be nice if they did, believe me, but all they need to do legally and ethically is cite their source (in this case us) and not misrepresent what we reported.  Thanks for the kind words.

Dave cr***ed all over the Charlotte/Carmella match in his Backlash blog.  However, some reputable people (including Hall of Famer Madusa) have actually praised Carmella's work.  It's no secret that Carmella's in-ring ability is far behind many of the women on the roster, but her character is what gets her over.  It reminds me of how Eva Marie was presented.  Once I stopped focusing on Eva's sub-par wrestling ability and focused more on how she performed as a character, I began to enjoy her segments more.  If you look at how Carmella performed in that match strictly as a character, and understanding that her wrestling ability is very much a work in progress, does your opinion of that match change?

No, it doesn’t.  She is the Smackdown Women’s Champion and I expect people in Title matches to be in the upper half of the group of wrestlers from an ability standpoint.  Carmella is still very new and is learning, and I appreciate that, but Charlotte has at least very good matches with everyone else and did not have a good match with Carmella.  Madusa has every right to her opinion, as do I.  On that night, I thought Carmella showed that she has a lot to work on.  It’s not all her fault either.  She hasn’t been booked as being believable in the ring thus far, so to me, it’s time that WWE book her to be more steak and less sizzle, like they have done with Alexa Bliss.  I see Carmella as a work in progress, and that’s not a bad thing.  She can definitely keep improving, I never said that she couldn’t.  But, she is the champion and she is in a make or break position with her MITB cash in.  I want to see her make the most of it.

With Chad Gable moving to Raw via the Superstar shake up and Jason Jordan there, once Jordan returns from injury any possibility for an American Alpha reunion on the horizon?

Kurt Angle said no to that on Raw last week so for now, I think both guys will be used as singles, which makes sense.  They should see what they have in both guys.  Down the road?  It wouldn’t shock me to see them team again.

With people asking are WWE trying to erase CM Punks record with Brock Lesnar I'd like to ask, No matter how long Brock is Champion, Wouldn't Punks record still stand ? As it's a different Championship ? Punk Was WWE Champion Brock is Universal Champion.

In my opinion absolutely.  They are different things.  But if WWE wants to say “The longest reign” (and I have no idea if they do) they will say it anyway.  They get to make the truths in their world.

I've been a wrestling fan since the early 80's.  I've followed WWE through thick and thin, but over the last couple of years it's gotten where I can only tolerate NXT from them.  Every time I watch the main roster stuff I feel like I've wasted my time because the booking is SO bad.  The problem with NXT is it's similar to being a college basketball fan.  You know anytime there's a great talent they will likely be one and done or close to it.  Then just not the same on the main roster.  Is there any hope in sight that fans of NXT style wrestling and booking will get that on the main roster consistently?  Or is the reality really it's going to take Vince dying of being incapacitated for that to happen.

First off, you are right.  It is frustrating to see talents used well in NXT brought up and then used poorly on the main roster.  We know how much more they have to offer.  To be fair, NXT doesn’t have the TV commitments to fulfill that WWE does.  Raw, Smackdown and PPVs/Special Events.  That makes booking much harder.  But with that said, I think talents could be better used and protected on the main roster than they are.  The reality is that the way they are used when they come up all comes down to the vision of Vince McMahon.  As long as he is in complete control, I see things staying as they are.
