WHAT TO DO WITH ABSOLUTION, EXPLAINING THE SHAKE-UP, DID WWE MISS THE BOAT ON R-TRUTH AND MORE

With Paige no longer in the role of leader of Absolution, what do you do with the group now?  Bring in a new leader, or have Mandy and Sonia go in a different direction and dissolve the group completely?

I had a feeling that they would be drafted to Smackdown. That makes the most sense.  At least they will have interplay with Paige.  But since she is retired, they will have to be on their own now.  It probably makes sense to have them aligned while they both seek a singles career.

When R-Truth was champion of TNA, I recall an article written on this site talking about how big of a star he was.  Then soon after the article was written, he was on TV cutting a promo talking about how big of a star he was, almost quoting the article word for word.  Did he ask the site and/or writer of the article if he can use it in his promo?  Can guys rip off lines from written articles to use in their promos, or do they legally need to obtain consent from the writer?

They never asked us for permission.  In order to sue, there would have to be damages to make it worthwhile.  In that case, there aren’t any.

As a follow up to my R-Truth question, he did very well as a serious champion in TNA.  He has done very well in a mid-card role in WWE, but after seeing what he can do at the top of the card in TNA, did WWE miss the boat by using him as mainly a comedy character?  Do you think he would have had more success if pushed as the serious star character we saw in TNA?

Where missing the boat is concerned, you have to consider who the captain of the ship is.  In this case, it’s Vince McMahon.  If he doesn’t see Truth as a champion then it doesn’t matter what any of us think.  I know some people hate when I say that, but it’s the truth.  Do I think he could have been used as more than a comedy guy?  Sure, he’s very talented.  But, I am not the boss there.  Vince is.

I always think this every when they do the superstars shakeups, even going back to the previous brand split.  The first thing is from a storyline perspective why do the never explain how the shakeup actually happens?  Do the GM work out trades?  Is there an unprotected draft board that they can pluck off talent from?  I know WWE likes to add the element of surprise but I would just like it explained in the storyline how it happens.  The actual draft they did in 2016 and in 2002 is the only logical way it went down.

To paraphrase the answer from above, it’s because Vince McMahon doesn’t think he needs to explain it to us.  He expects us to just accept what they tell us story-wise.  I am like you, I would love more explanation, but they don’t feel the need to give it to us.

And my 2nd question is do you think with these shakeups there is too much swapping of talent?  I mean they might as well just have the Raw roster move to Tuesday's, and visa versa.  To have 20 or swaps seems just like the rosters are flipped.  I would think just a handful, under 10 swaps would be all that is needed to make an impact.

In theory I like the idea of mixing up the rosters and giving us new matchups.  After a while, the same people fighting each other gets stale.  I am OK with a lot of churn.
