ADJUSTMENTS MADE WHEN CALLED UP TO MAIN ROSTER, GETTING READY TO PERFORM, WHAT IMPACT NEEDS THE MOST AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2018-04-19 10:00:00

I've noticed that WWE makes adjustments to wrestlers name when they get called up from NXT (The Iconic Duos, Ruby Riot, ect). How is it that they can use those names in NXT and not the main roster. If they can't use those names in the future then why have them at all? NXT and WWE is the same, so why is it okay to use in one show and not the other?

It's not that there's a reason they can't use the name, there's just a creative decision to give them a different spin as the talents are now working with a different creative team.  As much as they are building upon their experience in NXT, they are starting fresh for a new audience.

I’ve watched Impact since they debuted on Fox Sports in 2004. For a few years they seemed to have a path to success figured out but they then spent countless years trying to be WWE and not an alternative style of product (something ROH did and has since eclipsed Impact). With D’Amore and Callis calling the shots now it seems they understand what they are and what they need to be going forward. Do you think Impact needs to keep doing what they’re doing and slowly build up the audience/faith they once had or are there things you think they should be doing right now?

I think the company from a creative standpoint has been stronger of late, but what they need is the patience to stay the course for a long, long period of time and the capital to invest and grow, both of which are of equal important and neither of which are guaranteed.

Long time reader to the site, and I want to congratulate you on all the good work you do, but my question is do you think he John and Nikki 'split' could be a work, I do and I have 3 reasons to back this up Total Bella's is returning soon so they want to get the ratings up, 2. They teased a split on a preview clip and nothing come of it and 3. They have announced when the wedding day is after they 'split' yet there was no mention of it when they were engaged and just said it was bought forward

Anything is possible, but I don't believe this is a work.  It would make sense that they kept the wedding date as private as possible due to paparrazi and the like.

I just read the update on Jeff Hardy's legal update and this was 24 hours after being rewarded with the US title win... It made me wonder what is WWE's policy on guilty DUI charges? In my opinion if someone is charged with a DUI should be suspended and then released if found guilty. I had a friend who lost his family to a drunk driver and it shouldn't be taken lightly.

WWE would obviously stop pushing the talent if they were convicted.  They could also fire them under a morals clause in their contract.

When the wrestlers arrive at the scheduled event, whether its Raw, Smackdown or various house shows do they get dressed in their wrestling attire together? At the same time? At different times? What is the normal routine for the wrestlers to get themselves ready for their matches that very evening?

It all depends on the talent and the nature of the show.  If they have rehersals, they would likely get dressed early.  If they are going to work out in the ring, they would get dressed.  If not, they might wait until it's time to start warming up for the show.  They don't get dressed as a community.
