Jeff Hardy defeated Jinder Mahal to become the new WWE United States champion tonight on Raw, just minutes after it was announced that Mahal had been moved to the Raw roster.
This would be Hardy's first United States championship and would make him a Grand Slam champion for the company as he has previously held the WWE championship, the Intercontinental championship and the Tag Team championship.
