Do you feel there is any weight to the idea that the WWE told Daniel Bryan that he still couldn't wrestle (even after pretty much all the doctors said he is fine to do so) is because he would essentially be so over with the fans, that anyone who would go against him or who the fans would feel WWE is pushing ahead of Bryan, will get booed and would throw a monkey wrench in all of their booking and planning? Hear me out. Now that Bryan is back, the problem is the fans will want him to be at the top (the WWE or World Heavyweight champ) when obviously he can't always be the champ. So if someone get's pushed above him or if the fans feel Vince is "overlooking" Bryan, they will hijack the shows and essentially keep creating new Roman Reigns/Batista situations. When the WWE forced Bryan to retire, the WWE was probably hoping that fans will realize that they have to get over Bryan not being the top guy and let things go back to normal (not constantly booing Reigns, etc.). And to a second point, even if you feel there is no weight to this, the reality is now WWE is definitely in a pickle because he's back...so what can they do with Bryan if he's not placed in the highest of profiles at all times. The instant someone else is set to be a champ, that will probably get rejected unless they are a so called "internet darling". Thoughts?

I have talked about your latter point a lot on hotlines.  I think it would be wise on their part to keep him as the GM of Smackdown because then the good guy that Bryan is can say that even though he is back wrestling, he thinks it would be abuse of power to put himself in Title matches.  They can also get around that problem with good booking.  If Sami and KO win at Mania, he can spend the next few months dealing with them, and stay out of the Title picture.  To your first point, no I honestly think WWE was trying to protect Bryan when he was held out.

Forget the whole Women's Battle Royale / Fabulous Moolah incident. Do you think that naming things after wrestlers is getting out of hand? The Gorilla Position is fine because that's what Gorilla Monsoon did. But it's not like Andre The Giant or Moolah were famous for battle royals or Young or Dusty were famous for creating tournaments. I get they want to honor them, and that's cool. But it's just an unnecessary renaming when people are just seeing it as a whatever the match/tournament is. It feels like when streets, bridges or stadiums get renamed to honor someone. Most people still call it for what it is.

I don’t see it that way at all.  I like paying homage to legends.  I think it’s a nice, cool thing.

I don't believe a clear reason about Jim Johnston's WWE exit was given by him, or anyone, as of yet. I do remember reading his resentment for how the current theme song producers, CFO$, are not really doing justice to the wrestlers and aren't really "musicians". While initially, I felt Johnston was just bitter (possibly for an unknown fallout reason), I realized he made some valid points (ex: all of the female wrestlers just have upbeat, dance music), and that the songs they make are just catchy and don't capture the essence for who the wrestler's character is suppose to be. Do you have any opinion on Jim's feelings?

I think he created a lot of great themes, but so has the NXT team.  I don’t blame him if he is bitter, he did a lot for the company.  He still was producing at a high level.  It stinks to be let go for what were probably financial reasons after producing the way he did all of the years.  He certainly created a lot of iconic songs for WWE.

When do you see the WWE concussion lawsuits coming to its final end? And do you think those involved would have relations with WWE harmed permanently? It’s been strange seeing guys like Demolition, for instance, be omitted from the Hall of Fame and I wonder if the company is willing to forgive any time soon.

Ironically, the final counts were dismissed an hour after you sent this question.  If it’s me, and I am WWE, I would not forgive those that sued me.  I don’t know how WWE/F could have been expected to know about the effects of concussions before CTE was even discovered.

Why did The Miz say the other day that he was only a month from being the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion of all time when they have mentioned countless times over the  years that The Honkey Tonk Man holds that distinction?  It was used in an angle with Santino!

I just took it as him being a heel.  He doesn’t have to be accurate.  Plus I believe he was talking about the aggregate days of his reign anyway.

How did Ronda Rousey end up with the "Rowdy" moniker? I know know that at the end of his life Roddy Piper gave her his blessings to use it, but do you have the history of how that came to be? Did the UFC fans give that name to her and then Rousey ask Piper for his blessings? Or something else entirely?

She and Roddy Piper were trained by Gene LeBell.  She was hesitant to use the nickname until she met with Piper.  He gave his blessing and she adopted the nickname then.
