Kurt Angle kicked off Raw by announcing that once again WWE Universal champion Brock Lesnar would not be appearing on Raw, despite being advertised to appear for a face to face with Roman Reigns.
As PWInsider.com reported earlier in the day, neither Lesnar nor Paul Heyman were seen backstage at the taping.
It appears that WWE is producing a very unique "outside the box" story where Lesnar, by acting as if he is above showing up, is the anti-WWE heel in order to try and get Roman Reigns over as a babyface to the masses.
Basically, they are trying to get the audience to treat Brock Lesnar the way the fans at Madison Square Garden treated him at Wrestlemania 20 after PWInsider.com broke that Lesnar was leaving WWE to try out for the NFL.
After Roman Reigns called out Vince McMahon for disrespecting him by not informing him Lesnar was once again not appearing, McMahon promised Lesnar next week, the announced Reigns had been "temporarily suspended."
