VINCE SETS THE COURSE, THE COMPANY DETERMINES THE TRUTH, PROTECTING THE TITLE AND MORE

How much does Brock’s “no show” at Raw and therefore Roman’s incredible promo, have to do with booking to get the stadium in New Orleans to hate Brock and embrace Roman?  At Mania 20, the crown hated Brock and Goldberg because they knew both were on their way out.  If the fans assume that Brock is out the door again, and the E pushes that agenda by having Roman go after Brock for “no showing”, are they hoping that Roman gets cheered?  If it’s me, I don’t have Brock set foot in an arena until the Superdome!

It has everything to do with it.  That’s why it was such a great angle on WWE’s part.  They have made at least some of the people that habitually boo Reigns cheer him.  It’s brilliant.

While I don’t like Brock being absent from TV, I don’t like the idea of the champ wrestling for the championship every week either.  Keeping championship matches off regular TV makes them more special.  So maybe some place in the middle will be better.  Old school booking with some squash matches for the champ etc.

I don’t think the Title should be defended every week either.  They need to space that out and not overexpose it.  But the flip side is it’s 2018 and TV rights fees are their number one source of revenue.  They are cognizant of that and don’t want to intentionally book segments that will make it easy for people to turn the channel to something else.

A cursory Wikipedia search will show that Ric Flair has won far more than 16 world titles in his career. Why does WWE push the "16-time" narrative and ignore certain wins? I've noticed that they don't recognize many other wrestlers' title wins as well, even if they were legit wins.

To be blunt, WWE feels that the facts and history are what THEY say they are.  They literally couldn’t care less about what we can find by searching the net.  They make the truth.

What are the odds of Jeff Jarrett making mention of TNA during his HOF speech? Considering that it was pretty much his whole career post-WWF, and that a lot of WWE's stars' careers are thanks to TNA and Jarrett, I'd be surprised if there wasn't even an opaque reference to his former promotion.

Unless he cleared it first with WWE, I would say zero.  After getting back in their good graces I think he is smart enough to realize he doesn’t want to do anything that the company wouldn’t like.

Perhaps I am being a bit over cynical here, but in reference to the question in the Q and A for February 19th about Stephanie McMahon having an influence over the WWE's shift in portrayal of the women wrestlers, if this is the case why didn't Steph instigate this when she was head of creative for all those years? Wasn't she in charge when they ran some of the more objectionable and lurid angles involving the woman, like making Trish bark like a dog, the Torrie Wilson-Dawn Marie lesbian deal and ludicrous Molly Holly fat shaming/virgin angles, to name just a few? Not to mention the proliferation of lingerie pillow fights and gravy bowl matches et al that also occurred under Steph's watch, surely if she was that adamant about portraying women positively she would have petitioned Vince about it much harder back then and not jump on the current bandwagon?

As we have said MANY times, whoever holds the position of head of creative is really not where the buck stops.  That person is Vince McMahon.  Steph did not set the direction for the product, Vince did.  He was the one who had the final say.  To take it further, Steph has even stated that when she was “in charge” she was a manager/facilitator, not the idea person.  Her and Triple H (and everyone else with an idea) has to lobby Vince to accept and implement it.  That is what she has done over the years.
