CENA VS. FORD UPDATE, BACKLUND HEADING BACK TO JAPAN, NEW WWE 2K18 EDITION BEING RELEASED

As previously noted, Ford sued John Cena for selling a custom GT concept car that was gifted to him in turn for a two-year ambassadorship role for the former WWE Champion.  John's legal team filed a response this week stating that that the two-year timeframe requiring Cena to retain ownership of the car before selling was not actually in the final contract.

WWE Hall of Famer Bob Backlund will be a part of the Dradition "Back to New York" shows being promoted by fellow WWE Hall of Famer Tatsumi Fujinani on April 20 and 21st in Japan.  They will be competing together and against each other in six man tag matches that feature other Japanese legends on 4/20 at Tokyo's Korakuen Hall and 4/20 in Osaka at the ATC Hall.

2K is releasing a special "Wrestlemania" edition of the WWE 2K18 videogame for fans in Europe, the Middle East, and Australia.  The set, which will be released on 3/23, features:

• A copy of WWE 2K18;

• Special WrestleMania items:
  • WrestleMania 34-themed WWE SuperCard content;
  • Two Seth Rollins Topps cards;
  • Seth Rollins poster;

• Kurt Angle Pack
  • Formerly available only as a pre-order bonus;

• Accelerator
  • Players will gain access to all unlockable content available at launch in the game’s VC Purchasable section (excluding downloadable content);
  • Players can also decide the overall rankings and attribute levels for all playable characters throughout the life of the product;

• Enduring Icons Pack
  • Playable WWE Superstars: The Hardy Boyz (Matt and Jeff Hardy);
  • Playable WWE Hall of Famers: Beth Phoenix and The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express (Robert Gibson and Ricky Morton);

• MyPlayer Kick Start
  • Players will be able to unlock and boost MyPlayer ratings and attributes via a 50,000 VC starting bonus; 
  • Players will begin with 10 additional Attribute Points for MyPlayer and can boost any Attribute tower by 10 levels or spread the upgrades throughout multiple Attribute towers;
