Five Star Wrestling issued the following:
Rob Van Dam will square off with 'Liverpool's Number 1' Zack Gibson when 5 Star Wrestling comes LIVE from Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle tonight (February 8).
This match was made after the controversial Scouser attacked RVD and 5 Star Champion John Morrison with the 5 Star Championship belt as our FreeSports TV show went off the air last week.
Morrison, RVD and Gibson's opponent Rey Mysterio all wanted to face Gibson for revenge this week but with Morrison and Mysterio both committed to title matches, Van Dam has stepped forward looking to silence the bitter Liverpudlian.
Last week both men suffered defeats, RVD by pinfall in his title challenge of Morrison, and Gibson when he appeared to get himself deliberately disqualified to avoid a clean loss to Mysterio.
This match has been added to the Newcastle card which already includes:
5 Star Championship Match: John Morrison vs Jake Hager
5 Star Tag Team Championship Match: Max Money - Adam 'Flex' Maxted and Charlie Sterling vs 'The Phoenix' Jody Fleisch and El Ligero
5 Star Wrestling: Tap or Snap Championship Match: Mark Haskins vs Rey Mysterio
