JASON JORDAN UNDERGOES NECK SURGERY

By Mike Johnson on 2018-02-06 18:25:00

WWE star Jason Jordan underwent a successful neck surgery earlier today, WWE announced today via their website.

“He had an injury to a disc in his neck which resulted in significant pain that was refractory to all conservative measures,” WWE Medical Director Dr. Joseph Maroon told the WWE website. “It was decided to do a minimally invasive operation to decompress the nerve, to allow it to heal.”

Based on the fact that Maroon gave the quote, it would appear the surgery was done in Pittsburgh.

As PWInsider.com first broke last month, WWE had removed Jordan from all live events, but he was still featured on WWE TV in non-physical roles, leading to Jordan and Seth Rollins losing the Raw Tag Team championship at the 2018 Royal Rumble in a match that saw Rollins handle all the physical action.

The WWE website stated there was no known timetable for Jordan's return.  He was written out of Raw storylines last night when his "father" Kurt Angle ordered him to go home until he was medically cleared to compete.  As we reported this morning, that was a case of art imitating life as Jordan had been pulled from all WWE commitments.
