HOW ENZO SITUATION CHANGED RAW PLANS LAST NIGHT

By Mike Johnson on 2018-01-23 17:28:00

Before he was suspended (and later fired) by World Wrestling Entertainment, Enzo Amore was originally slated to wrestle Goldust at last night's Raw 25 event.

In a bout that was scheduled for the third hour of Raw at the Barclays Center, Amore vs. Goldust would have led to The Dudley Boyz getting involved after the Zo-Train interfered and attacked Goldust and Cedric Alexander with the Dudleys putting someone through a table before celebrating with Alexander and Goldust.

With Amore having been removed from the show, WWE rewrote the segment to feature Titus O'Neil & Apollo Crews vs. Heath Slater & Rhyno to set up the Dudleys appearing and putting Slater through a table.  The re-write (and a pre-tape that set up the new match) was finalized around 7 PM last night.

Goldust and Alexander were removed from Raw completely while members of the Zo-Train were instead sent to the Manhattan Center to work dark matches if needed.
