One of the most talked about independent promotions in the world, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla will return to Reseda, CA tomorrow Friday 1/12 at the American Legion Hall.  The show, the latest "Mystery Vortex" event from the promotion, will feature a completely unadvertised event with no talents or matches announced.

The promotion continues to be a most unique nexus by forgoing potential live streaming and iPPV revenue, realizing that by stepping into that world, they would rupture the political balance they are able to maintain using so many different talents who have different contractual responsibilities to different companies.  Instead, they simply present live events that are taped for later DVD distribution via www.highspots.com.

With all the focus on the departure of Brad Stutts as booker and lead announcer from North Carolina's CWF Mid-Atlantic, it's easy to forget that the promotion is set to kick off their 2018 officially this weekend with a return to the Sportatorium in Gibsonville, NC on Saturday 1/13.

Announced for the event are three singles matches with heel contingent The All-Stars (Roy Wilkins, Arik Royal, & Mace Li) competing against mystery opponents as well as Chet Sterling vs. Ethan Alexander Sharpe, Aric Andrews vs. Cam Carter and Jesse Adler vs. Cain Justice.    Obviously, there will be a new direction for a lot of stories here and the mystery opposition leaves a big window for surprise appearances.

One would think Trevor Lee would miss the show due to Impact Wrestling commitments.

Speaking of CWF, director John Philapavage ("Barbed Wire City") is working on a documentary about talents in the company, titled "Boys of Gibsonville."
