NOAM DAR INJURY UPDATE, WHAT MIXED MATCH CHALLENGE MEANS FOR 205 LIVE AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2017-12-13 10:37:00

It was mentioned on 205 Live last night that Noam Dar is out with a knee injury.  We have confirmed that is legitimate and are told he needs to undergo surgery to "clean it up."  No word on how long he may be out.

With today's announcement of the Mixed Match Challenge series, it will be interesting to see what effect it has on the 205 Live brand.  When 205 Live was launched in 2016, one of the selling points was that the company was trading a taped weekly series in WWE Superstars for a live show featuring the Cruiserweights.  With Mixed Match Challenge being announced as airing live on Tuesdays at 10 PM, that means 205 Live will either need to be pre-taped or pushed back to a later start.  We are working to confirm what the plan will be for the Cruiserweights and will update as soon as we get word.

Also interesting to see Sami Zayn listed on the roster for the Mixed Match Challenge since the stipulation this weekend is that he and Kevin Owens could be "fired from all of WWE" if they lose to Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura at Clash of Champions.

As of this morning, there has been no court date set for Rich Swann following his arrest over the weekend.
