There has been no announcement yet. I would keep watching their website, NWALegends.com. It was unfortunate the event was canceled last year, but hopefully Greg Price and his team will be back at it this summer.
Is there any word yet when the WWE Studios film "Wrestling With My Family" will be released? Is the film a comedy or a drama?
I was told they are planning an advanced screening Wrestlemania weekend, so my guess it would be late Spring/early summer. The film has been complete and edited. The film is a comedy based loosely on a British documentary on Paige's family.
Was any reason given as to why Terry Funk is again wrestling at the age of 72? Surely it couldn't be for the money. I hope he doesn't end up humiliating himself. I would hate to see all his work in the ring forgotten replaced by the sight of a 72 year old wrestler trying desperately to recapture his glory.
It's not the money. Terry is a pretty unique soul who gives far more of himself than he ever should at this point in his life. He still loves to wrestle and he still loves being a performer, so as long as his body can hold up, he's still going to perform from time to time. I think he's insane and while I absolutely love his work, I really wish he would go relax on his porch and spend quality time with his family.
