Triple H confirmed during his post-Takeover Wargames interview on Facebook that former WWE NXT champion Drew McIntyre is believed to have suffered a biceps muscle during his match with Andrade "Cien" Almas during NXT Takeover: Wargames and could require surgery. HHH said McIntyre will be undergoing an MRI ASAP.
WWE released the following interview with McIntyre after the Takeover show:
EXCLUSIVE: "I know it's probably not good, but I won't know anything official until I talk to the doctor." - @DMcIntyreWWE #NXTTakeOver pic.twitter.com/4vz6ftz4OJ

Former ECW World champion Taz was the first to recognize the injury and predicted it was a torn bicep, as he suffered the same injury during his WWE tenure:
I dont normally do this on here but i just watch the #NXTTakeOver Championship match, looked to me like @DMcIntyreWWE might've torn his bicep on the finish as he held the rope. Could separation in base of his Bicep. Been there, it sucks for Drew. head up brother.
