In an update to their trademark application for 'He Hate Me' that WWE applied for last year for clothing purposes, they have noted that Rod Smart is not connected in any way with the application or promotion of the goods and services being provided.
The application has been approved for publication and opposition, so it will be interesting to see if Smart will be opposing the trademark. Smart, who used the term on his XFL jersey, did have a few 'He Hate Me' trademarks that are no longer active.
