WWE SCRAMBLING AS TLC CARD IS REVAMPED DUE TO MEDICAL ISSUES, KURT ANGLE TO RETURN TO THE RING THIS SUNDAY, STYLES VS. BALOR

By Mike Johnson on 2017-10-20 15:48:00

World Wrestling Entertainment announced today that Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns have been pulled from the WWE TLC event this Sunday in Minneapolis.

Wyatt had been off the road for several weeks as a precautionary measure after his brother, Bo Dallas, was diagnosed with an illness described to PWInsider.com as a "communicable disease."

With Wyatt not yet cleared to return to in-ring action, his match against Finn Balor has been scrapped.  Smackdown's AJ Styles will work the show in Wyatt's place, giving WWE fans a legitimate first time dream match.

WWE also announced that Roman Reigns has been pulled for a medical issue (possibly the same one) and that WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle will replace him in the main event TLC match, competing in a WWE ring for the first time since 2006.

PWInsider.com can also report that WWE requested a number of talents set for TLC undergo medical testing earlier this week out of concern they may have contracted what is ailing Dallas and Wyatt.

As we noted earlier this week, WWE ring announcer JoJo was also pulled from this past Monday's Raw and sent home as a precautionary measure.  JoJo is the real-life girlfriend of Wyatt.

WWE is not expected to announce anything beyond that there is a medical issue due to HIPAA laws.

The updated lineup for this Sunday's WWE TLC PPV in Minneapolis, MN features:

*Kurt Angle & Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins vs. Braun Strowman & The Miz & Cesaro & Sheamus & Kane in a handicap TLC bout.

*WWE Raw Women's champion Alexa Bliss vs. Mickie James.

*Finn Balor vs. AJ Styles.

*WWE Cruiserweight champion Kalisto vs. Enzo Amore.

*Cedric Alexander & Rich Swann vs. Jack Gallagher & Brian Kendrick.

*Asuka debuts vs. Emma.

*Sasha Banks vs. Alicia Fox (Kickoff Show)

*Drew Gulak's Powerpoint presentation (Kickoff Show)
