Ever since Triple H took over for John Laurinaitis as WWE's Head of Talent back in 2012, he signed numerous independent wrestlers such as Shinsuke Nakamura, A.J. Styles (who was one of the longtime TNA employees), Sasha Banks, Bayley, Asuka and Becky Lynch, among others; thus, being partly responsible for WWE'S "New Era" even though Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn are still in charge. With that being said, would Laurinaitis sign those aforementioned talents had he still been WWE's Head of Talent as he mainly signed former bodybuilders, football players and swimsuit models (CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and Natalya were notable exceptions to the rule)?
Probably not. Triple H changed the parameters when he took over and has done an amazing job with Developmental.
I don't understand what they are doing with Mickie James; why are they always picking on her? First it was Piggie James, now it's her age. There must be a better way to use her.
I hated the Piggy James stuff too, it was totally mean spirited and wrong in my opinion. This hasn’t been quite the same, she is older so that can play into things here. As long as they don’t book her weakly and keep her looking strong, it’s nowhere near the Piggy James stuff. That should never be done again.
Do they really think that they are helping RR when he gets beat down every time he is around The Miz?
They do because it is. Reigns has gotten more cheers the last few weeks than he has in a long, long time. And if (when) The Shield reunites? It looks like he will get more then as well.
I still think it is odd that Braun Strowman got put down with just ONE F5!
I hated that finish. You had Roman Reigns and John Cena killing each other and taking finishers, but kicking out. Then Braun gets taken out with ONE F5? It made him look so weak. It was very bad booking.
So...why exactly would any wrestler in their right mind want to be in a tag team if it basically means you are destined to both be destroyed by the dominator of the week? Most recently, Vince decides to have Ambrose and Rollins take turns getting destroyed by Strowman...then both in the same night. The same Strowman who couldn't kick out of one F-5. So the math comes out to Braun is greater than the tag champs...and Brock is greater than all. What gives? I can't image the Road Warriors, the Midnight Express or even DX dealing with that BS.
I have no good answer for that question and just like I hated that Braun lost to one F5, I hate that the tag champions both lost to the guy who lost to just one F5. In NXT, Triple H does a great job of protecting guys. Roderick Strong lost to Drew McIntyre in a great match on NXT and didn’t get hurt a bit. I wish Vince would protect guys on the main roster the way that Triple H does in NXT.
