WWE NETWORK TO BEGIN ADDING SHORT FORM CONTENT TOMORROW

By Paul Jordan on 2017-09-24 07:56:00

WWE Network News is reporting that a WWE Network Collection "WWE Shorts" will be added tomorrow, featuring curated content culled originally featured on WWE's YouTube channel and WWE.com. The graphic shown on the website listed titles including "Pop Question", "WWE Superstar Ghost Stories." "WWE Game Night" and " My Daughter (or Son) Is A WWE Superstar" so it appears they will all be included.  It is unclear at the moment how much of WWE's digital content will actually appear in this collection. Season one of Southpaw Regional Wrestling is coming to WWE Network tomorrow as well.

This is not the first time that WWE has tried to put short-form content from other platforms on WWE Network. Of course in its earlier days, there was the "Quick Hits" section which featured mostly interstitial content that would play on the live stream featuring music videos, promos and vignettes. Later WWE tried to curate this content into its own MTV style jukebox show hosted by Renée Young. They also tried "As Seen on WWE YouTube" which curated the top videos from the channel at the time. This seems to be more an extension of the that. ot sure this will do anything for WWE Network or interest in their YouTube channel but anything worth a shot.

The site also reports the WWE 2K 18 roster reveal videos will be in the Original Specials section of the network. Part one and two will stream on the network next week. All four videos were done in conjunction with gaming website IGN and are available on their YouTube channel.
