WORK VISAS, THUNDER, ROH WANTING DANIEL BRYAN BACK AND WHETHER THAT CROSSES A LINE AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2017-09-22 10:00:00

Has there been any other info on when Thunder will be added to WWE Network?

We had been told by numerous sources it's slated to be added this month.   We are told that whatever editing needed to be done has been completed.  Currently, they are adding a slew of World Class TV, so it may be they are waiting until that process has been completed.

Now that Impact Wrestling will be filming in Ottawa, Canada, doesn't that mean that the vast majority of their wrestlers are going to have to get Work Visas for Canada? And if so, will Anthem help those that need the Visas obtain them in a timely manner, or are the wrestlers on their own?

The companies they work for are required to get them the work visas when they go into other countries.  If a wrestler doesn't have a valid one and gets caught crossing the border, he can be sent back and banned from entering the country.  This happened to Mike Bailey from Canada who is currently banned from entering the United States when he tried to enter to work for EVOLVE without having the proper paperwork.  Years ago, Crowbar flew all the way to Japan to work for a promotion and was immediately put back on a plane to New Jersey.  So, it does happen.

There are some loopholes, such as wrestlers coming to the United States to work for "free" to further their careers, but no idea if the same thing applies going into Canada.  I have heard of a performer's law that allows you to enter Canada as a performer, but no idea if that would benefit pro wrestlers.  At the end of the day, it's on Anthem, not the talents, to make sure paperwork is in order.

Could WWE go after ROH for Joe Koff making it obvious that he'd hire Daniel Bryan?

No, Joe never said that.  He said Bryan would be welcomed back to the fold.  Anyone with a brain would want Bryan Danielson as part of their organization as long as he could perform without the risk of further injuring himself.   It's a no brainer.  Koff saying that is not tampering with Bryan's contract.  It's stating an opinion.

Who's the bald guy that tried to rescue Vince McMahon from Kevin Owens and failed?

Adam Pearce, the former NWA champion and ROH booker who is now a producer for the WWE's main roster.

Is Starrcade going to be on the WWE Network?

There has been no announcement of this, but it seems kind of silly to promote the Starrcade brand name all over WWE social media and their website and only have it as a house show.
