WHY DIDN’T ANYONE HELP VINCE, WHO GETS THE PROPS/BLAME FOR CREATIVE, WWE IN DANGER AND MORE

Was WWE ever really in danger of going belly up during the Monday Night Wars? I keep hearing this on the Network, but seeing how WWE still killed WCW in ppv buyrates, merchandise sales, and still had a solid house show foundation, where the top stars still performed, compared to WCW's weak house shows filled with lower card wrestlers, I find it impossible to believe the hype. If I remember right, even the ratings war was never that big of a difference.

I think the best way to put it is “danger enough”.  They were not doing well, as evidenced by Vince asking Bret Hart to take WCW’s money.  There was serious belt tightening back then, for sure.  In 1996-7 they were actually getting beating on most, if not all, fronts by WCW.  The problem for WCW was that their management couldn’t keep that momentum going.

What does it say about the current state of the WWE, its roster, booking agents, writers and producers when the most compelling story line and creative writing involves the company's CEO, Vince McMahon, and his son, Shane, coupled with a predictable cameo role being portrayed by Kevin Owens? And where do you see this story line going in the future?

All of WWE’s creative direction runs through Vince McMahon, so if you are going to blame anyone, blame him.  It’s his vision that his employees are trying create on the programs.  The storyline SHOULD have KO beat Shane and get elevated after they work the Cell.  Whether it does go there or not, I can’t say.

Just two questions about the VKM beatdown on SD. Why did no one run out to save/protect "the boss"? You would think that someone who saved him would be in his debt, which is what I would think most wrestlers would enjoy. Refs don't count, as they never really do anything in those situations.

My theory on our shows last week was that they will say, “He’s Vince McMahon, the genetic jackhammer, he doesn’t need help.  The only ones that can help him are family, and Shane was suspended.”

The other question is, while he was bleeding from the head, why did no one tend to that? I mean, even when Stephanie came down with a towel, and could have pressed it against, or dabbed at the wound, she didn't. That made no sense to me. Is there any sense you can make of this?

Me personally?  No.  My take is that they would say that they wanted to show the extreme nature of how Vince was hurt!

Aside from the two finalists, which other competitors in the Mae Young Classic left enough of an impression on you that you would like to see more of them in a WWE ring?  Personally I think Bianca Belair showed fantastic athleticism along the lines of Naomi, and Jazzy Gabert has that it factor and can be a huge monster heel.

A lot of them made great impressions.  I don’t want to single any of them out and omit someone that is also deserving.  Let’s just say that WWE got exposed to some great talent via the tournament.
