VINCE TAKING KO’S HEADBUTT, WRESTLEMANIA LEAVING THE BIG STADIUMS, USING THE WORD “REVEALED” AND MORE

Do you think WM would be in stadiums and with Vince and creative not building new stars do you see WM 50 still being held in stadiums, or I go even sooner WM 40?

I think for the foreseeable future, it isn’t an issue.  WrestleMania is an event, a happening, and it brings a lot of people into towns.  That is why they bid on the show.  Obviously that could change in the future, but until we see a marked drop in attendance for a couple of years they are OK.  Also, keep in mind that Vince is in his 70s now.  By WrestleMania 40 he will be around 80.  At some point, he will have to cede control and I think that once his vision isn’t the vision, some of the weaknesses in the booking now, such as not creating enough real top stars, will be addressed.

Do you hate when a site uses the term "revealed" in a news story as much as I do?

I must reveal to you that I do indeed loathe that phrase. It's such a sleazy, come on kind of thing.  Most of the time, the word is used fraudulently too, which just makes its usage even worse.

I'm probably not the only person who thinks that, for a "non-wrestler", Shane McMahon has always been able to go in the ring. He's obviously not a technical virtuoso, but for someone who by all definitions was never a full-time wrestler, Shane has always impressed me with his stamina, bumps and relative sure hand with his ring work. Was he ever formally trained in wrestling, and if so, by who? For a guy who made his on-screen debut in late 1998 and began wrestling not too long after that, the guy clearly picked up his skills pretty quick.

He has worked out with a lot of people in the ring, like back at the Trax years ago, along the way.  I remember back in the day that he worked with Al Snow and Dr. Tom Prichard.  He was always ready to go when the bell rang.

Why did the WWF use to produce a live Raw on a Monday and then tape the next week's episode? Was it a financial thing, and what did they do on Mondays when they weren't live?

Yep, it was cheaper to do it that way.  Live air time was expensive and by going every other week, they saved money.  They either ran shows or were off on the non-TV Mondays.

So Vince McMahon took a legitimate headbutt from Kevin Owens and was even busted open. Although it was a great angle from a creative standpoint, wouldn't allowing a full-contact headbutt between performers invite the very risk of concussions that WWE is trying to explicitly avoid? Owens could have easily pulled his "punch", so to speak, and still make it look like the attack was effective.

You make a good point, one we talked about on the We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Name show on Thursday.  In Vince’s case, he isn’t under a talent contract so it wouldn’t apply to him, but Owens is.  A case could be made that they shouldn’t have done that spot.  A case could also be made that wrestling is a physical business and you can’t legislate everything out of it.  It’s an interesting situation.
