Who would you pick as the headliner for the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame?
I could see WWE going with Goldberg, Undertaker, Rock or Batista as the headliners, but we'll see. I don't believe they have anyone locked in at this juncture.
I have an odd question: if Batlista left WWE to go promote the first Guardians of the Galaxy film and never returned, is he still under contract?
Unless WWE had a clause in their deal that Batista's contract would freeze until his return, no. I was the first to report that internally, management didn't believe he was ever going to return to complete that run and as it turned out, years later, he never did. He has talked about wanting to return, in fact returning the same summer Guardians was released to work Summerslam, but according to the story Batista tells, neither Triple H nor Stephanie McMahon were confident the movie would be good or a hit - which blows me away, as it was obvious from the first trailer it was going to be another Marvel Studios home run.
Do you think WWE will ever do what the Ultimate Warrior wanted, an award that would honor those who worked behind the scenes for the company?
I hope so, but I don't think they will. I would love to see it, but they changed what his original idea was to instead become the Warrior Award. While they can always award it to someone who works for the company, they will get far more mileage out of awarding it to publicly known personalities. I still hope that we get the "Jimmy Miranda" award that Warrior envisioned in his 2014 WWE Hall of Fame speech.
Have you ever had a source publicly reveal themselves?
There were two, and they actually revealed themselves on Elite audio here well after the fact. Beyond that, no, and I won't reveal my sources, ever. The second you do that, it sends a message that you can't be trusted by those who are trusting you to keep them anonymous.
What cities would you like to see Wrestlemania in?
Off the top of my head, Minneapolis, San Diego, Memphis, London and Tokyo. If I am being completely selfish, I'd like to see a Wrestlemania in Yankee Stadium or CitiField here in NYC as well.
