There will be a media conference call with GFW Creative team members John Gaburick, Sonjay Dutt and Scott D'Amore today at 2 PM. Apparently GFW was trying to rib the media when they sent out a media advisory for the call as they suggested the media ask about the team "using Ubereats to order food during meetings." Can you imagine WWE ever sending such a thing out? Neither can I.
The latest One Night Only PPV, featuring the second GFW Amped! PPV will debut this Friday. The GFW PPV will air via all traditional PPV carriers as well as the Fite app. You can download the Fite App for free for your cell phone or mobile device by clicking here. Newsday has an interview with Josh Mathews downplaying the rumors of the company's turmoil. “Put any other company against we’re up against in these times . . . I don’t know if a lot of them survive,” said Mathews. “But Anthem, with their wisdom, they saw something. They came in. They breathed life into this company. And now here we are at the end of 2017 and there are all these things that are happening . . . And we’ll grow from there.”
Mathews said he is upset about everything that he is reading, saying that there is plenty in the pipeline for the company in the near future. Mathews said no one is telling them that they won't be able to do certain things and pushed the company's forthcoming streaming service and upcoming events in 2018. Josh states the company has plans to run a live event in Toronto, which is the home base of GFW's parent company Anthem Media. Mathews acknowledged that the company has faced adversity in the past but that their new management has a vision and a plan, which they are just in the early phases.
