RAW ON CHRISTMAS, CORGAN-NWA, HOMICIDE, VELVET MCINTYRE AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2017-09-07 10:00:00

You've come out against the idea that WWE is running Christmas night with a live Raw, so I want to ask you this - you have been big on the idea that Madison Square Garden is important and you always go to the MSG shows.  If WWE ran the Raw there, would you go and cover the show on Christmas?

I can tell you I 100% would not go and cover a show on Christmas night.  Would I do work on the site when it's quiet on Christmas Day?  Sure, but the idea of having to travel and working on covering a live show is not something I would feel comfortable doing.  I don't even think I will be watching the Raw live as it airs for the same reason.  I don't have an issue with WWE running from a business perspective and it will probably be a cool gift for families, but I feel bad for the staff and wrestlers who have to be on the road on the biggest holiday of the year.

Where did Homicide disappear to?

We are told he was kept off the last set of TV tapings as a cost cutting decision and should be back in November following Bound for Glory.

Did Billy Corgan ever buy the NWA?

Yes, he did.  We are hearing he is waiting until after the current licensing agreements with partner promotions expire this October to begin working on that project as he had a musical tour coming up.

Whatever happened to Velvet McIntyre?

She is retired and lives in Chilliwack, British Columbia.

Why isn't 2 Cold Scorpio in any of the WWE 2K games? He was a big guy that could do crazily athletic stuff in the ring, seems like the perfect kind of guy for a wrestling videogame.

For whatever reason, WWE hasn't attempted to bring him under a legends deal and 2K hasn't attempted to independently use him for it.  I agree with you on all fronts.
