Cena vs Reigns. Too soon? Or are you ok with it for the next PPV?
It doesn’t matter if I am OK with it or not, it’s going to happen. It doesn’t surprise me. WWE rarely does any king of long build anymore. The world has changed and things happen more quickly than they did in the days of yore. WWE wants to keep ratings and WWE Network subscriptions up, and the NFL is looming on Sundays and Mondays. They have to do what they can to compete with that.
Also how would you say Reigns fared in his promo battle with Cena?
I liked his passion a lot. I think he was a bit hamstrung by the lines he was given to say. John Cena got to say that he hasn’t been in the WrestleMania main event in five years while Reigns DOESN’T get to say that he isn’t exactly protected like Cena has been since he loses all the time. Cena was set up to beat Reigns, much like when he was losing to Rock so badly they had to do the “you have the lines written on your hand” bit. All I can say is that after that exchange, Reigns had better beat John and shut him up.
Would you say Elias Samson is one of the rare guys that has actually been booked better on the main roster vs NXT? Also what is your opinion on him? Personally I'm a fan. He is solid in the ring, has a great look, and seems to have that "it factor."
I am a fan of Elias too, and have said so for a while now. I do think he has been used better in WWE, most probably due to Vince McMahon seeing something in the gimmick. I agree with him, Elias has something. I want to see them grow that.
I know a lot of fans are very excited about Asuka's main roster debut but I'm worried that for some reason that Asuka would put Alexa Bliss over down the road knowing that Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn see Alexa Bliss as the Kelly Kelly of the Women's Division. Thoughts?
You send a lot of questions where you know the mindset of Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn. Do you have their offices bugged? Alexa Bliss is Kelly Kelly? In what universe (certainly not WWE’s!)? Alexa is far more athletic and accomplished than Kelly was. If Asuka were to put her over, it would not be a travesty or anything close to one.
I was told from an inside source at USA Network that the Universal Title was named in honour of NBCUniversal. I know there's ambiguity involved, but what's your take on it: 'WWE Universe'? or 'NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment'?
I have never heard that they based it off of their TV partner.
