GFW STAR CAPTURES PRO WRESTLING NOAH GLOBAL HONORED CROWN CHAMPIONSHIP

Former Impact Wrestling and ROH champion Eddie Edwards defeated Katsuhiko Nakajima to become the Pro Wrestling NOAH Global Honored Crown champion for the first time earlier today in Tokyo, Japan.

 Edwards defeated Katsuhiko Nakajima to become the first ever gaijin GHC Heavyweight Champion in the main event of "Summer Navigation Volume 21.  The match went 25:41. Afterwards, Naomichi Marufuji came out and challenged Edwards for a match at a later date.

Edwards, 33, spent a good portion of time early in his career touring for NOAH and returned to the promotion by virtue of their working relationship with GFW.
