Tonight’s Raw from Nashville, TN features Samoa Joe vs. Roman Reigns for the right to face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at SummerSlam. I really hope that they do the right thing and have Joe win. For one thing, it would help make Joe a top guy. For another, Roman was about to lose the Number One contender’s match to Finn Balor until Joe came in and choked out Finn. Then Roman proclaims himself the number one contender. If he can do it, why can’t everyone else on the roster? Then, he loses to Braun Strowman at the PPV last week, attempts vehicular homicide and gets rewarded with a chance to headline one of the biggest PPVs of the year? WWE really does need a logic editor. Besides that, if he wins, the fans will boo the hell out of him for the next month, worse than usual. We will also get the reveal of what Kurt Angle has been hiding, you know the thing that scared the bejesus out of him a few weeks ago, but he was proud of by the end of last week’s Raw. Since they want us to think it was an affair I would not be surprised if it's something different, like maybe the spawn of an old relationship.
On a different note, I think it would be simply amazing if Dixie Carter somehow ends up on WWE TV.
In case you missed it, John Cena worked the Saturday and Sunday Raw brand house shows over the weekend, beating Bray Wyatt. When you are the company's "free agent", you can do that.
