ROBERTS PAYS TRIBUTE TO UNDERTAKER, CODY RHODES PLANNING FULL-TIME WRESTLING HOME AND MORE

Former WWE ring announcer Justin Roberts penned a very good tribute to The Undertaker for Sports Illustrated at this link.

Tough Enough Alum Daria Berenato worked tonight's NXT Full Sail tapings under the name Sonya Deville, so it appears she has received a new official WWE name.

In an interview with Sports Illustrated to promote the upcoming 'Bullet Proof' show for Luke Gallows' WrestleMerica promotion on 4/22, Cody Rhodes mentioned that he will be making a decision soon on where he will be making a full time home in wrestling, commenting, "I’m about to make a decision. It’s been really fun to cross all the streams, but at this point I do need to find a new home. That is going to limit all the distance I cover, which includes the work I’ve done with companies like Limitless, Defy, and All Pro Wrestling – there is even a company in Kolkoska, Michigan where I’m wrestling that is called ‘Mr. Chainsaw’. If you see my name on a card and you’re a fan, come on out. I’m not sure how much longer it will be until I’m no longer able to roam around."

Rhodes talked about how he feels now about wrestling being as just "Cody", noting, "I’ll tell you this, and I’ve not told anyone this, but I don’t mind that WWE took away my last name. Deep down, in my bones, I definitely want it back – and I have plans to get it back – but there is something to being Cody. The longer I don’t have a last name, the more I’m OK with it. That’s not to say WWE is holding it ransom. It’s literally an intellectual property law that easily can be remedied, but there is something about being Cody that I don’t mind."

WWE is seeking a Live Event Producer.  According to an online listing for the position, "This candidate will be expected to produce and help coordinate many of the WWE Live Event elements within the entire experience for our guests. The candidate will be formulating a weekly plan for our hosts, announcers and creative ideas to implement within our shows.

While preparing to support the WWE brand during the week, this role is expected to be in charge of all the creative assets involved in the WWE Live production from doors opening until the last fan leaves the arena.  At the events themselves, this candidate will be calling everything from video cues, audio cues, spotlights, pyro, announcers, and more."
