I was in attendance at the NXT Life show in Concord, NC last night.
The show was not a sellout but there was a great turnout. An interesting note from the show was that the champions came out with their old titles, not the ones that were presented at Takeover: Orlando. Asuka’s belt appeared to be a replica that’s sold by WWE.
Kassius Ohno beat Kona Reeves. After the match, Kona refused to leave and challenged anyone to come out to remove him from the ring. Dan Matha came out and chokeslammed him.
Kimberly Frankele and Ruby Riot beat Mandy Rose and Daria Berenato.
Aleister Black beat Andrade "Cien” Almas.
Hideo Itami beat Patrick Clark.
The Authors of Pain beat DIY to retain the Tag team titles.
Asuka beat Ember Moon to retain the Women’s title when she used Moon's tights to get the pin.
Shinsuke Nakamura and Tye Dillinger beat Bobby Roode and Scott Dawson with Dash Wilder at ringside in a really fun match. After the match, Roode blamed Dawson for losing and he was attacked by Nakamura, Dillinger, and the Revival.
When Roode left the ring, the four gave farewell speeches while the NXT locker room came out to show their respects.
After they said their goodbyes, Roode came back to try and sneak attack the four but received Stone Cold Stunners by Dawson and Dillinger and Kinshasa to send the fans home happy. Very fun show and can’t wait to go to another one.
