The latest film in the Fast and The Furious franchise, Fate of the Furious, was officially released to movie theaters today, with Dwayne Johnson returning to reprise his role as Hobbes.
Deadline.com reported that the film made $10.4 million in Thursday night screenings. Tracking earlier this week predicted the film would make $100-$110 million in its opening weekend. It will be one of the biggest films of the year.
Luke Hawx of Wildkat Sports in New Orleans has a small role in the film, including a fight scene with Johnson set in a prison.
Thanks to Paul Jordan.
