WWE SCOUTING AT WRESTLECON WOMEN'S SUPERSHOW, COMPLETE RESULTS

By Mike Johnson on 2017-04-01 17:49:00

Welcome to PWInsider.com's live, ongoing coverage of the Wrestlecon Women's Supershow!

They are starting late, so I'll cover as much as I can before I have to head over to WWE NXT.

Interesting to note WWE's Canyon Ceman is here, obviously scouting for the women's tournament.

Indi Hartwell vs. Thunder Rosa

Rosa has a nice dancing entrance.    Hartwell was the aggresor here and worked her over in the corner.   Hartwell was nailed with some kicks but ducked one and rolled her up for a two count.  Hartwell worked her over but was dropped in a jawbreaker.   Hartwell caught her with an inverted DDT for a two count.  Rosa finally scored the pin.  Some decent action here.

Angel Rose vs. Samantha Heights vs. Renee Michelle

Rose, who is the new female member of LAX, was spotlighted a lot early, looking really good and hitting a nice dive to the floor.   Heights showed off some great strikes.   Michelle nailed a nice moonsault off the top onto Rose.  They built to a nice Tower of Doom out of the corner.     Michelle pulled out the old Doug Williams rolling suplex but in the end, Rose scored the pin.  Entertaining.

Deonna Purrazzo vs. Hudson Envy

Nice back and forth bout.  Purrazzo picked up the win.

Fine Young Carmels vs. Jessicka Havok & Neveah vs. Rick Cataldo & Eddy McQueen vs. Jade & Leva Bates.

Bates and Jade came out dressed as Disney Princesses, since we are in Orlando.  Cataldo ripped all of them on the mic and was beaten down.  He was tossed to the floor.  The others followed, setting up Jade and Bates hitting dives.    Some really good action here.  In the end, Bates placed a poison apple in McQueens' mouth and superkicked him.  Jade nailed a double underhook piledriver and scored the pin.

Jazz vs. Kennadi Brink

Brink is a hell of a heel in terms of playing off the audience and talking trash.  She basically was calling Jazz old.  Jazz still looks in amazing shape.  Jazz controlled Brink with kicks in the corner and a snapmare for a two count.  Brink kicked her as Jazz charged her in the corner.   She worked over Jazz's back.  Jazz mounted a comeback and went for a sunset flip but Brink held on.  Brink kept working over Jazz, but was caught with a droptoehold that was turned into an STF.  Brink fought to the ropes to break it.  Brink worked over her wrist but Jazz finally broke free and nailed several kicks.   Jazz hit a crescent kick for a two count.     Brink finally caught Jazz ib a submission and scored the win.  Brink showed Jazz respect after and Jazz returned it.  Big win for Brink.  Big "Thank you Jazz" chant after.

Kyra Hogan & Tessa Blanchard vs. Allie & Alexis

Allie and Blanchard started.  Allie was doing her Impact character but a little more wrestling to it.  She and Alexis double teamed Blanchard.  Hogan has a great look and looked good in the ring.  I can see her getting attention as she becomes more well known.  Blanchard has improved so much since I first started watching her a few years ago.  Blanchard and Hogan took control and took turns wearing down Alexis.  They built to the Allie hot tag.  Hogan took some great bumps.  I was really impressed with her.   They went back and forth until Alexis pinned Blanchard.   Good stuff.

DDT Ironman champion Joey Ryan vs. Shayna Baszler

Lots of Ryan silliness early.  Baszler cut him off and used a lot of grappling and matwork.  Ryan whipped out the Boobplex.    Ryan got tapped outIt was exactly what it needed to be. Your winner and new DDT Ironman champion, Shayna Baszler!

Gabi & Santana Garrett vs. Chelsea Green & Taeler Hendrix.

Gabi and Green started.  Green was playing herself, not her Laurel persona from Impact.  Garrett did a nice job with some good athletic moves early on.  Green was very vocal.   Lots of cool stuff here including a stereo Muta Lock.  Garrett finally got the pin with a handspring splash.

Su Yung vs. Taya Valkyrie.

Taya slapped Yung before the bell.   Test of strength early controlled by Taya.   Yung went for a sliding kick but was caught and beaten against the entrance.  Yung was DDT'd off the apron to the floor.   Taya assaulted her on the floor.  Yung was flung into the ringpost.  Yung ended up in the crowd but was pulled back in.  Taya sent her into the railing again.  Back in the ring, Taya continued working her over.       Taya nailed a running pair of knees in the corner for another two count.   Yung made a comeback and hit a draped off the ropes Pedigree like maneuver for a two count.  Taya cut her offense off with a curb stomp.   Yung finally got the pin.
