PROGRESS WRESTLING REPORT: DUNNE VERSUS HASKINS, BATE DEFENDS THE WWE UK TITLE, SABRE VERSUS HAVOC, AND MORE

Welcome to PWInsider.com’s coverage of Progress Wrestling’s show from More than Mania at the Orlando Live Events Center in Orlando, Florida.

Jim Smallman welcomes everyone to Progress Wrestling and how they were in Miami to watch Wrestlemania and now they are doing their own show.  He says this is a bit overwhelming.  He explains that he might swear at some times during the show.  Jim asks the crowd where they are from and if they have been to a Progress show before.  He mentions that there are more than 1,200 people at today's show.

Match Number One:  Zack Sabre Jr. versus Jmmy Havoc

Havoc has something to say to the fans in the front row before locking up. Havoc with a wrist lock. Sabre bridges out and reverses the hold.  Sabre with an arm bar.  Sabre with a wrist lock.  Havoc gets to the ropes and Sabre releases the hold.  Havoc with a wrist lock but Sabre with a head scissors and Havoc gets to the ropes.  They go for a Greco Roman Knuckle lock but Havoc takes Sabre down but Sabre with a Japanese Stranglehold.  Havoc steps through to escape.  They lock up and Sabre with a wrist lock.  He keeps Havoc from getting to the ropes.  Havoc with a snap mare and a rollup for a near fall.  

Havoc offers his hand and Sabre shakes it but Havoc with a punch and rollup for a near fall.  Havoc sends Sabre to the floor and he hits a suicide dive.  They return to the ring and Havoc with a running boot to the head.  Havoc misses a drop kick into the corner when Sabre moves.  Sabre with a Northern Lights suplex and he rolls through into a cross arm breaker but Havoc gets to the ropes.

Sabre with a European uppercut and Havoc with a forearm.  Sabre with a single leg crab into an ankle lock.  Sabre with a step over toe hold and Sabre bridges.  Sabre then works on the elbow and has Havoc in a position most humans would not enjoy.  Sabre with kicks in the corner.  Havoc with a forearm but Sabre with a forearm.  Havoc with a discus forearm.  He goes to the turnbuckles for a double stomp but Sabre moves.  Sabre with a deadlift Tiger suplex for a near fall.  Sabre with an Octopus but Havoc counters into a Jig N Tonic for a near fall.  

Sabre and Havoc with forearms that go back and forth.  Sabre and Havoc with forearms off the ropes.  Havoc with a kick that forces Sabre into the corner.  Havoc with a bicycle kick and he connects with a kick off the turnbuckles for a near fall.  Sabre witha cross arm breaker but Havoc counters into a rollup for a near fall.  Sabre with a hammer lock using the leg and he pulls the arm back but Havoc with a rollup for a near fall.  Havoc with a German suplex and forearm.  Sabre with a back slide and bridges through for the three count.

Winner:  Zack Sabre Junior

Match Number Two:   James Drake versus Rockstar Spud

Drake hits Spud from behind as Spud is introduced.  Drake sends Spud to the floor and Drake with forearms and punches to Spud as Spud does not even get a chance to take off his ring jacket.  Drake with punches as he turns it into a hockey fight.  Drake with a forearm to the back.  Drake follows Spud around the ringside area and sends him into the apron back first.  They return to the ring and Drake continues the assault and he chokes Spud in the corner.

Drake kicks Spud in the leg.  Drake with a back breaker to Spud.  Drake stands on Spud's hand.  Drake with a cravate and snap mare followed by a kick to the back.  Drake with another kick to the back.  The crowd comments on Drake's choice of ring gear as they try to get under his skin.  Drake with a snap mare and kick to the back.  Drake with more kicks to the back. Drake slaps Spud and Spud goes down.  The referee checks on Spud.   Drake slaps Spud in the back of the head.  

Drake continues to show Spud no respect with slaps and he spits in Spud's face.  Spud with punches but Drake with a knee and snap mare followed by a kick.  Spud with a snap mare and kick to the back of his own.  Spud with a drop kick and then he hits a suicide dive.  Spud with a drop kick and flying clothesline.  Spud goes up top and hits an elbow drop.  Spud charges into the corner but Drake with an Exploder and power bomb for a near fall.  

Drake says something to Spud as Spud tries to get back to his feet.  Drake misses a clothesline and Spud with a tornado DDT.  Spud misses a charge into the corner and Drake with an impaler DDT for the three count.

WInner:  James Drake

After the match, Drake leaves the ring and then returns to the ring to attack Spud.

Match Number Three:  Jinny versus Toni Storm

They lock up and Storm backs Jinny into the corner.  Storm with a clean break.  They lock up again and Storm with another clean break.  Jinny pushes Storm and Storm with a forearm.  Jinny with a head scissors and she punches Toni.  Storm with a boot to Jinny and a chop in the corner.  Toni with another chop and she misses a chop that she took too long to set up.  Jinny with a chop and Storm with a punch.  Storm uses her rear end to send Jinny into the corner.  Jinny with a Japanese arm drag into the turnbuckles.  Jinny kicks Toni and connects with a forearm.

Jinny with a knee to the head followed by a forearm to the back and kicks.  Jinny with more kicks in the corner.  Jinny with forearms to the back.  Jinny takes Storm down and applies a rocking chair and kicks Storm in the back of the head.  Jinny stretches Storm but Storm gets out of the hold.  Jinny with kicks to Storm.  Jinny with double palm strikes to Storm but Storm with chops.  Jinny with an Irish whip and a running knee into the corner.

Jinny with an Irish whip and another running knee to the head.  Jinny with a snap mare and she stands over Storm and taunts her.  Jinny with a kick to the head.  Jinny gets a near fall.  Jinny gets a near fall with a rollup.  Storm goes to the floor and she puts a poncho over Storm and she connects with forearms.  Storm with forearms and then she gets free.  Storm with a German suplex and a running hip strike.  Storm with a Northern Lights Suplex for a near fall.  Storm puts Jinny on the turnbuckles and hits a bridging Muscle Buster for a near fall.  

Storm goes for a piledriver but Jinny blocks it.  Storm with a head butt and a Jig N Tonic.  Storm goes up top and Jinny with a kick and she gets the three count with her feet on the ropes.

Winner:  Jinny

Match Number Four:  Shane Strickland and Sami Callihan versus Travis Banks and TK Cooper (with Dahlia Black)

Strickland and Callihan with stereo bicycle kicks.  Callihan gets Banks up but Banks gets to his feet.  Banks trips Callihan and gets a near fall with a La Magistral.  Banks kicks Strickland and Strickland flips in the ropes and he takes Banks down with a head scissors and drop kick.  Strickland with an Irish whip to Cooper.  Cooper flips over Strickland and then Cooper kicks Strickland in the head.  Callihan kicks Cooper in the leg as he charges into the corner.  Callihan with running kicks to the head in the corner.  Callihan with a running drop kick into the corner.  Callihan is stopped by Banks on the apron and Callihan with a springboard clothesline and then he hits a suicide dive onto Banks.  Banks with a suicide dive onto Callihan.  

Strickland with a Fosbury Flop onto Banks and Cooper.  Cooper goes up top and hits a corkscrew senton.  Callihan sends Banks into the crowd while Strickland and Cooper fight at ringside.  Callihan runs around the ringside area and hits a cross body on Banks.  Callihan and Strickland run around the ring hands held and hit a double drop kick.  Cooper kicks Callihan and Strickland.  Strickland is in the tree of woe and Callihan is on the turnbuckles.  Cooper kicks Strickland and punches Callihan.  Cooper sets for a superplex but Strickland from the tree of woe hits a German superplex on Cooper.  Banks hits a coast to coast on Strickland.

Banks kicks Callihan and Strickland.  Banks wtih foerarms and elbows but Callihan with an elbow.  Strickland charge at Banks but Banks kicks him into Callihan in the corner and Banks with a cannonball and he gets a near fall on Strickland.  Callihan chops Banks and Banks with slaps and a back heel kick.  Callihan with a knee and he kicks Banks.  Callihan with an Air Raid Crash and he gets a near fall.  Cooper with a Yakuza Kick.  Cooper blocks a bicycle kick and he kicks Callihan in the knee and he kicks Callihan again to get a near fall.  Strickland with a forearm to Coooper and Cooper fires back.  Strickland with a knee and a round kick.  Cooper with a forearm and Strickland with a rolling cutter.  

Strickland with a bicycle kick to Banks.  Strickland and Cooper get their legs caught on a super kick attempt and then Callihan and Banks take care of them.  Callihan and Strickland go for bicycle kicks twice but fail.  Cooper and Banks go for kicks but Callihan and Strickland finally connect.  Callihan with the strech muffler on Banks and Cooper with a super kick.  Callihan holds on and after a third super kick, Callihan releases the hold.  Banks hits an assisted brainbuster on Strickland for the three count.

Winner:  Travis Banks and TK Cooper

Match Number Five:  Atlas Championship Match:  Matt Riddle versus Trent Seven

Seven does not want to lock up, even though he asked for this to be short so he could get to Axxess.  They lock up and Riddle with a waist lock and take down.  Seven escapes and they both get back to their feet.  They lock up and Riddle with a waist lock.  Seven gets to the turnbuckles and Riddle with a clean break and a gentle tap to the back.  They lock up again and Seven pushes Riddle on the break.  Riddle with a slap and strikes to Seven as they go into the corner.  Riddle with an Exploder but he lands on Seven's knees when he goes for a back senton.

Seven with a running chop to the chest.  Seven with an Irish whip and he goes into his trunks before winding up for a running chop but Riddle gets his feet up.  They go to the floor and Riddle with a chop.  Riddle chops Seven and Seven chops back.  Riddle goes for a chop but he misses and hits the ring post.  Seven is sent into the ring and he leaves it as fast with a suicide dive onto Riddle. Seven goes up top and Riddle with a forearm and then he hits a superplex.  Seven slaps Riddle but Riddle punches back.  Seven goes down in the corner and Riddle with a running double knee strike.  Seven with a waist lock but Riddle with a standing switch.  Seven pops up and hits a German suplex but Riddle pops up and hits another German suplex.

Riddle with a kick but Seven with a chop.  Riddle with a round kick and Seven with a back fist.  Seven with a German suplex and Riddle pops up.  Riddle with a Pele Kick and a German suplex for a near fall. Seven with a spinning pile driver for a near fall.  Seven chops Riddle in the corner and puts him on the turnbuckles.  Seven sets for a cradle pile driver from the turnbuckles but Riddle escapes and hits a power bomb.  Riddle with a jumping tombstone for a near fall.  Riddle kicks Seven in the head but Seven with a chop to the midsection.  Seven with slaps and Riddle with round kicks.  Seven with a punch and back fist followed by a clothesline for a near fall.  

Riddle with a knee and a pile driver but Seven kicks out at one.  Riddle forces Seven to tap out to the Bromission.

Winner:  Matt Riddle

Match Number Six:  WWE UK Championship Match: Tyler Bate versus Mark Andrews

They shake hands so this match will have honour.  

They lock up and Bate with a clean break.  They lock up again and Andrews with a clean break as well.  Bate with a single leg take down into an ankle lock but Andrews escapes and gets back to his feet.  Andrews with a waist lock but Bate gets out of the hold and he has Andrews in a wrist lock.  Andrews with a reversal into an arm bar and La Magistral but Bate is in the ropes so there is no count.

Bate with a full nelson and Andrews slips out of it but Bate reapplies the hold.  Andrews keeps trying to escape but when he gets out of the hold, Bate reapplies it.  Bate gets Andrews to the mat but Andrews finally gets out and he applies a wrist lock.  Bate reverses and applies a wrist lock.  Andrews bridges and escapes.  Andrews with a drop toe hold into a front face lock.  Bate with a handstand to escape and they shake hands so there will be a continuation of honour.  

Andrews with a wrist lock and he takes Bate to the mat.  Bate escapes and he gives Andrews a snap mare but Andrews lands on his feet.  Andrews with a snap mare and Bate lands on his feet.  Bate with a boot to the head that sends Andrews to the floor.  Bate goes for a dive but Andrews is already back in the ring.  Andrews with a plancha onto Bate.  Andrews with arm drags but Andrews blocks an arm drag attempt by Bate.  Andrews with another arm drag.

Andrews with an arm drag and arm bar.  Bate backs Andrews into the corner and connects with an elbow.  Bate slams Andrews and gets a near fall.  Bate with punches and a snap mare followed by a kick.  Bate with a wrist lock and he starts to work on the elbow.  Bate wtih a Cloverleaf and he tries to contort Andrews.  Bate with a near fall.   Bate with a European uppercut but Andrews with chops.  Bate with a single leg take down.  Andrews gets to the ropes.  Bate sets for the Bate Driver 97 but Andrews drops down.  Andrews with a near fall but Bate bridges.  Andrews with a running knee strike and a Northern Lights suplex.  Andrews goes for the standing moonsault but he takes too long and Bate with a rollup for a near fall.  

Bate goes to the apron but Andrews with an enzuigiri.  Andrews with an Asai DDT on the apron.  Andrews with a back flip senton for a near fall.  Andrews goes up top but Bate gets up.  Andrews leaps over Bate but Bate goes for the knee and Bate with a deadlift brainbuster.  Bate gets a near fall.  Bate and Andrews exchange forearms.  Bate with a chop and Andrews wit a forearm.   They go back and forth with forearms.  Bate with an elbow but Andrews with a forearm.  Andrews with an enzuigiri.  Bate with a jab but Andrews with a guillotine.  Bate counters into a tombstone for a near fall.  

Bate sets for the Tyler Driver 97 but Andrews backs him into the corner.  Bate with a knee but Andrews with a jumping rana.  Bate catches Andrews coming out of the corner and he gives Andrews and Airplane spin.  Bate goes the other way.  Andrews with a reverse rana.  Bate goes for a Tyler Driver but Andrews escapes and hits a shooting star press.  Andrews with a Kudo Driver for a near fall.  Andrews with a stunner out of suplex attempt.  Bate with the Tyler Driver 97 for the three count.

Winner:  Tyler Bate

Match Number Seven:  Progress Championship Match:  Pete Dunne versus Mark Haskins

They lock up and Dunne backs Haskins into the ropes and gives a clean break.  They lock up and Haskins and Dunne have to be separated by the referee but Dunne pushes Haskins.  Dunne retreats into the ropes.  Bate gets on the apron to distract Haskins and Dunne hits him from behind.  Dunne grabs Haskins by the face and applies a side head lock.  Dunne with a shoulder tackle but Haskins with a drop kick to the legs and then Haskins wit more kicks to the legs.  Haskins with a power slam for a near fall. 


Haskins teases a dive onto Dunne, but instead he hits a suicide dive on Bate and Seven at ringside.  Dunne with a kick from the apron and then he goes for a moonsault off the turnbuckles but misses.  Haskins with a suicide dive.  Haskins goes to the entrance and he hits a running cross body on Dunne who was placed on the apron.  Haskins with a forearm and he goes for a second one but he is met with a forearm from Dunne.

Haskins floats over and he applies a Sharpshooter.  Seven gets on the apron and Haskins releases the hold.  Haskins does not pay attention to Dunne but the referee has had enough and Bate and Seven are sent to the back.  Dunne sends Haskins to the apron and hits a DDT. Dunne stomps on the knees.  Dunne with a kick and forearm.  Dunne stomps on the hand and then he manipulates the digits on Haskin's left hand.  Dunne with a kick.  Dunne with a forearm to the head.  Dunne with another forearm to the head and he gets a near fall.  Dunne with a boot to the neck.  Dunne kicks Haskins in the back of the head.

Dunne slaps Haskins in the head and kicks him.  Dunne with a forearm and Haskins with a punch.  They exchange forearms with Haskins getting the advantage.  Dunne blocks a kick but Haskins with a leg lariat.  Haskins with a running forearm but Dunne sends him to the apron on a second attempt.  Haskins with a slingshot drop kick into the corner.  Dunne blocks the half nelson suplex.  Dunne with an elbow but Haskins with a uranage back breaker followed by a Falcon Arrow and Haskins gets a near fall.

Haskins with forearms and Dunne lets him connect.  Haskins with a kick to the chest but Dunne with a head butt on a second kick attempt.  Dunne slaps Haskins after kicks from Haskins  Haskins with a running forearm and both men are down.  Haskins comes off the turnbuckles and Dunne with a forearm.  Haskins with a German suplex and then he has Dunne in a Fujiwara arm bar but Dunne gets to the ropes.  Haskins slaps Dunne and Dunne kicks Haskins and connects with a forearm.  Dunne with more forearms but Haskins with a kick.  Dunne with an enzuigiri.

Haskins with a head scissors take down but Dunne with a tombstone but he holds on and hits a second one but Haskins kicks out.Dunne goes for the pump handle driver but Haskins counters.  Dunne with a Pedigree for a near fall.  Dunne puts Haskins on the turnbuckles and connects with a forearm.  Dunne sets for a Pepsi Plunge but Haskins with an elbow and he goes for a sunset flip power bomb but Dunne lands on his feet.  Haskins wtih a Destroyer followed by a Death Valley Driver for a near fall.  Haskins with a Fujiwara arm bar.  Dunne escapes and he bits Haskins' hand. 

Andrews with a super kick for a near fall.  Dunne hits the pump handle driver but Haskins kicks out.  Dunne forces Andrews to tap out to the Regal Stretch.
