UNDERTAKER & HBK ON RAW, UK CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT THIS WEEKEND, WWE HOF ON SALE, DIY VS REVIVAL ON NXT, BUBBA RAY, ENZO AND LOTS MORE WWE NEWS

By Mike Johnson on 2017-01-09 09:09:00

WWE continues its march to the 2017 Royal Rumble with a live Monday Night Raw broadcast from The Smoothie King Center in New Orleans with appearances from WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker.  It makes sense that WWE will announce the first member of the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame tonight (Undertaker certainly makes sense for that role, but we will see if its indeed him) as that goes on sale officially later this weekend.  Raw will be headlined by WWE United States champion Roman Reigns defending against WWE Universal champ Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho in a handicap match.  We are seeking live reports from the taping, which will also tape Main Event for this Thursday.

WWE will broadcast a special preview show for this weekend's WWE UK Championship tournament following Raw.   The tournament will air this Saturday and Sunday at 3 PM Eastern/8 PM UK time and obviously, we will have live, ongoing coverage of those events.  If anyone is attending, we are seeking live reports.

Smackdown has a live event tonight in Lake Charles, LA with John Cena, AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose advertised.

Bubba Ray Dudley will be taking part in a Raw viewing party this Monday 1/9 in New Jersey at iPlay America's Gametime Bar & Grill.  Here are the complete details:

Enzo Amore is doing the wheelchair deal partially because he's getting over a knee injury.

Tomorrow, Smackdown Live will broadcast from Baton Rogue, LA at the Raising Caine's River Center with John Cena vs. Baron Corbin and WWE Smackdown Tag Team champions American Alpha vs. Randy Orton & Bray Wyatt.

Wednesday night's WWE NXT will be headined by DIY defending the NXT Tag Team titles against The Revival as well as the continuation of the build towards WWE NXT Takeover: San Antonio with Billie Kay and Peyton Royce vs. Sara Bridges and Macey Estrella, Elias Samson vs. Jonathan Cruz and Andrade Cien Almas vs. Oney Lorcan.

Wednesday's episode of Total Divas on E! will feature the following synopsis: "Brie has mixed feelings when Bryan receives a new job offer that could interfere with their plans to start a family. Meanwhile, Paige's future may be determined by the results of her MRI; Nattie is on a mission to get fired from planning Lana's wedding; and Renee ends up as a third wheel on a vacation for couples."  The series has seen an uptick in the overnight audience after being moved to a 9 PM EST premiere, so we will see if it continues that trend for the third week in a row.

The latest edition of artist Rob Schamberger's "Canvas to Canvas" features The Undertaker:

The Montgomery Advertiser featured a piece on WWE's Raw event in the area on 1/7 at this link.
