While WWE ran a promo from Curt Hawkins (seen above) to explain his disappearance from last night's Smackdown Live, where he was announced for an official in-ring debut, the real reason Hawkins did not appear is that WWE pulled his segment from the show at the last minute.
WWE sources indicate that several segments early on in the Smackdown Live broadcast ran over their alloted time, requiring later segments to be trimmed and Hawkins' segment to be cut. The plan is for the debut to happen next week.
