While an official announcement will likely go out next week, PWInsider.con has confirmed that former WWE World champion Rey Mysterio is going back to High School, main eventing a Viva La Lucha event in San Diego, CA on 8/13 at Montgomery High School, his alma matter, an event that will fundraise for the school.
Masked Republic and Oddity Studio will be promoting the event with Mysterio.
Alredy scheduled to appear are longtime Mysterio foe Psicosis, John Morrison/Mundo, Teddy Hart, TJ Perkins and Famous B. Konnan will be appearing as the host of the event. The show will be titled "Viva La Lucha: Back in the 619."
Tickets officially go on sale this Monday, but there are pre-sale links up now at LuchaShop.com. The first four rows will be designated VIP Reserved Ringside and come with memorabilia from the event (Rows 1 & 2 get an official event poster and souvenir program/autograph book, rows 3 & 4 will receive only the poster). There will also be a VIP autograph session prior to the event.
