RVD VD. HERO, NOAH TAG TITLES, BALLS MAHONEY TRIBUTE AND MORE: COMPLETE HOUSE OF HARDCORE COVERAGE FROM QUEENS, NY

By Mike Johnson on 2016-04-15 19:00:00

Welcome to PWInsider.com's live, ongoing coverage of House of Hardcore's return to Queens, NY tonight at the ELMCOR Center.

Before the show began, Tommy Dreamer came to the ring with the HOH roster.  He said that he was thankful for everyone coming but they had a loss this week in everyone's "crazy uncle" Balls Mahoney.  The crowd clapped for Balls.  Dreamer said that everyone had a story about Balls, whether they met him or they wrestled him.  He said that Chris Candido was his best friend and he named his son Christopher after him.  He said that he wasn't going to toll the bell ten times for Balls because Balls hated it when it was done.  He said Balls wasn't a traditional person, so they weren't going to do something traditional.  They played Ball' ECW theme and everyone sang along.  It was a really nice tribute.

Deonna Purrazo vs. Thea Trinidad.

Trinidad played babyface since she is from Queens originally.  Purrazzo showed some good fire as a heel and worked over Trinidad early.  Trinidad made a comeback and did a move where she forced Purrazzo against the ropes then swung around and used her arms and legs to tie her up.   Purrazzo nailed her, sending Trinidad to the floor.

Purrazzo stomped Trinidad down as she returned to the ring and nailed the Three Amigos suplexes for a two count.  She cinched Trinidad into a side chinlock.   Trinidad forced her way to her feet and nailed several rights.  She went for a sunset flip but couldn't pull Purrazzo down.  Purrazzo tried to drop down but Trinidad moved out of the way.  They had a nice series of near falls.

Purrazzo drilled her with a running knee and a side Russian legsweep for a two count.  Trinidad surprised her out of nowhere with a forward roll and scored the pin.

Your winner, Thea Trinidad!

Nice opener with some good athletic wrestling and a nice story.

Alex Reynolds vs. Little Guido Maritato

BIG pop for Guido coming out.    Reynolds played a good heel but was out-wrestled and take down by Guido over and over.  He went for a reverse off the turnbuckle but Guido took him down in an armbar in mid-air.  Reynolds was able to mount Guido and beat him down.  He nailed a tiltowhirl backbreaker across the knee.  Guido nailed a high cross bodyblock for a two count and followed up with several other two counts.  The crowd chanted for Guido.

Guido unloaded with kicks and chops.   Guido nailed the Sicilian Slice off the ropes for a two count.  Reynolds nailed a double knee strike on Guido.   They went back and forth with near falls.  Guido cinched in another Fujiwara armbar and Reynolds tried to escape but had no choice but to tap.

Your winner, Little Guido!

Another good match.  Reynolds looked great and Guido still has it.

Vik Dalishus & Ben Ortiz & Hale Collins vs. Team Tremendous & The Golden Boy

The Golden Boy is a young, fit wrestler.  Never seen him before but he had some nice kicks.  He and Tremendous worked over Ortiz.  Golden Boy was caught in Team Ortiz' corner.  They worked him over until Dan Barry made the hot tag and nailed a big missil dropkick.  Ortiz got involved but Bill Carr nailed a rana.

Carr went to do a dive but Collins nailed him with a kick and an enziguiri.  Carr teased a dive but the villains went up the aisle.  What they didn't know is that Barry was waiting and dove down on them from the crowd.  Great moment.  There was a flurry of back and forth crazy stuff before Tremendous and The Golden Boy won.

Colt Cabana vs. Pepper Parks

Cherry Bomb ripped on ring announcer Stephen DeAngelis and introduced Pepper herself.  She then announced TJ Marconi was going to be his personal bodyguard due to the past treatment he has received in HOH.  Big reaction to Cabana.

Cabana played to the crowd early and got a nice reaction.  He took control of Parks, who was able to catch Cabana in the corner with some chops.  He went to the top but Cabana nailed him in the rear end.   Parks went to the floor and when he returned to the ring, Cabana slipped out to the apron to mock him.  They exchanged blows but Parks kicked him off the apron to the floor.

Parks worked over Cabana on the floor then tossed him back into the ring.   Parks worked over Cabana's back and Cherry Bomb choked Cabana against the ropes when the referee was distracted.  Cabana was caught in a side chinlock but fought his way out.  They chopped each other back and forth.

Cabana made a comeback and nailed a series of chops followed by the Flyin' A**hole.  Cabana came off the ropes and nailed a splash for a two count.  Cabana used the Butt Butt for another two count.  Cabana locked him in the Billy Goat's Curse.  Marconi distracted the referee and Cherry Bomb got on the apron.  Cabana pulled her into the ring and acted like he was going to kiss her but Parks nailed him from behind with a foreign object and scored the pin.

Your winner, Pepper Parks!
