Eric Corvis is mad that he went out and got custom gear for this match. Dan is wearing his Detective stuff, the only gimmick he ever made money on. Eric Corvis demands Dan wear his old gear....he happens to be wearing it underneath! THIS INVITES QUESTIONS! Ok, we’re wrestling now. Corvis is trying to make Dan humble. Working between arm ringers and headlocks. These old friends have more chains going than a Piercing Pagoda. Corvis pulls Dan’s head back onto the knee and rams him into the post. Stretch on the post! Dan kicks out. Dan Barry catches him running with a face buster. Corvis out of the pin and slams Dan’s face to the mat. Corvis tries to pull him up but Barry picks a bridge STF. Corvis dumps Dan to the buckles. Dan tries to come back up he slips under the top rope and Corvis chokes him. Corvis to the outside, Dan with a plancha after him. Corvis with a palm strike, Dan catches him running with a brain buster to get the three! This started slow and built into something super fun....if it wasn’t spoiled by a very vocal person shouting obscenities and homophobic remarks constantly. This is one downside of no commentary.

Winner: Dan Barry

Match 4: Jefferson Saint vs Anthony Stone (Contender’s Qualifier)

Saint is out with great pomp and circumstance and says he was the ORIGINAL Ace of Beyond with a win over Stone. The bell rings and Stone runs in with a rollup with an immediate three count. Stone is out and victorious. Saint slowly walks to the back sadly. But our finals are SET!

Winner (and contender for the IWTV Championship): Dave Cole

As a Beyond native, I am smiles for miles right now. This was the result I wanted. Where it goes from here? I don’t know but Dave Cole is back and it’s more than just a one-off. Let’s goooooooooo!

BUT LET’S ALSO GIVE A SHOUT OUT TO EVERYONE ELSE ON THIS SHOW WHO I HAVE MISSED SEEING IN MY HOME PROMOTION FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS. EVERYONE worked their a**es off today and, the problematic shouting people aside, this was a fun watch from Beyond....but I can’t wait to hear Crockett & Bakabella in my ear holes, especially when it’s time to talk about the return story of Dave Cole. Until then!
