ADAM CARDOZA REPORTING:

ICW No Holds Barred Volume 11: Then & Now

4/8/21 - 8pm

Tampa, FL - IWTV.live

Match 1: Tony Deppen vs. Daniel Garcia

Tony Deppen shows why he’s a veteran of 3-hours of Iron match combat this year, enduring the early technical flurry Red Death offers at the bell. Deppen looking weary after several submissions into the chains, forcing him to roll to the floor. Deppen firing up with slaps and Garcia slams him to the chains. Garcia dropping stomps to the head, Deppen up to the chains. Garcia wants a german but Deppen with a PERFECTLY LEGAL backwards low blow and a running knee for the win. This was everything both of these guys are about.

Winner: Tony Deppen

Before the next match, we get the arrival of “The Black Nature Boy” Scoot Andrews!  Scoot reminds the crowd that he used to be synonymous with Indy wrestling in FL for 15 years...but why is he HERE? He’s here to take a look at IWT champ, Lee Moriarty because he heard that Lee might be exceeding the bar he set. Also he hates Steve Madison so he’s looking forward to seeing him get beat.

Match 2: Steve Madison vs. Lee Moriarty

This is a non-title match. Good feeling out early, Madison grabs a headlock but Lee fighting through it and hitting arm drags to wear that limb down. Madison fights up and smashes Lee’s throat into the chains. Madison locks in the rear chin lock but Lee keeps locking on the arm. Big slam to break that up. Madison tries a sharpshooter but Lee gets his hands on the hands and snaps the fingers of Steve. Madison tries to dump him, Lee skins the cats. Enziguri! Flatliner from Moriarty and Madison is out!

Winner: Lee Moriarty

Scoot Andrews has been at ringside, watching this. He hits the ring to raise the hand of the champ. Lee offers a hand of respect and Scoot with a gut kick, hits a Forces of Nature (pump handle big ending). Scoot screams that HE is the measuring bar as he drapes the IWTV belt across Lee’s fallen chest. I smell a comeback.

Match 3: Justin Kyle vs. Bruce Santee

We have a big hoss fight in the chains right now. This is their third encounter in the chains and it’s certain to be violent rubber match. Bruce seems to hurt his hand early on Kyle’s face. Kyle swinging for the fences and Bruce down to a knee early. Kyle tries a Superman punch but Bruce crushes him to the mat and swarms with punches. Battle right to the outside briefly before trading blows back on the inside. Standup chess match, Kyle hits a kick on the button that crumbles Bruce, he comes in for the kill but Santee is OUT COLD and that forces the ref to call this off. Flash finish to this FIGHT.

Winner: Justin Kyle

Match 4: Jon Davis vs. Dom Garrini

THIS IS GOING TO BE A F***ING FIGHT. Dom and Davis just start throwing back and forth forearms and chops. They are just lighting each other up for several minutes. Davis throwing chest kicks. Dom grabs the head and landing those Kawada kicks to the head. Davis dumps Dom on his head. They recover and we’re back to this standing bar fight. Dom with a flurry of slaps and a German suplex to Davis. Running PK and a knee on the button for two. Dom comes running into a uranage and shining wizard for two. Dom tries a powerbomb, nope. Davis plays possum and whips Dom into the chains. Huge larait and a piledriver from Davis and Dom is done. HOLY S***. This was awesome.

Winner: Jon Davis

Match 5: Brandon Kirk (w/ Kasey Kirk ) vs. Danny Demanto (w/ Mittens)

No one likes Kasey and tell her to shut the f*** up as she tries to intro her husband. Larry Legend makes a point to echo that sentiment as he intros Demanto. Kirk tries to end this early but it goes right outside to the floor. Kirk battered with a chair and Danny dives to put him through a table. Demanto sends him to the chairs and we get our first gusset plate spot of the weekend. OW. Demanto drags him back and seasons the would with lemon and salt. OWWWWWW. Blasted with a tack bat. Kirk fires up and gets the gusset plate onto the boss. Kirk blasts a bat into a keg against Demanto’s crotch. OW. Both guys bloody as Kirk hits an AA out of the ring, through a door covered in gusset plates. OWWWW OWWW OWWWW. Demanto looks hurt. Everyone is concerned, this might be over? Kirk helping him out of the venue BUT IT’S A SUCKER JOB!. Demanto rams him to the post and puts Kirk on a door. Kasey tries to stop him but she gets used as a weapon, getting pile drivered through her husband. Kirk with a low blow back in the ring. Mittens holds Kirk back but Demanto blasts him with a water jug on a pole. Kirk uses the distraction to hit lariats for two. Trading shots in the center, Demanto picks up Kirk for a suplex. Kasey cracks him in the ribs with a bat. Kirk covers on the collapse for the pin. VIOLENCE. Good s***.

Winner: Brandon Kirk

Match 6: Dan Maff vs. Calvin Tankman

Here’s the fight I came here for! Tankman shows his power early and Maff has to powder and get his bearings. Tankman gives chase and the vet introduces him to the front row. Tankman back with big shots but Maff pokes the eye. Cal fights though it and cannonballs Maff through an entire section of chairs. Tankman with the chair shots but Maff wakes up with headbutts and chairs of his own. Battle in to a stalemate across the ring from each other. WHAT A GREAT SHOT OF THE STAREDOWN THIS IS. Slugfest in the center. Cal dropped and Maff with a senton. Tank with the roaring elbow, backbreaker and lariat for two. Tank knows Maff won’t die early and sets up a door with chairs. Big spinebuster through it but Maff out at two. Tank needs MORE CHAIRS and the audience hands them off to Calvin. Big running powerslam to the chairs and Maff kicks out! Maff out onto a door at ringside. Tank with a tope suicide puts him through it and still only a two. Cal off the top platform with a frog splash to the chairs....Maff’s out! Fighting to the corner....Maff wakes up and gets Tankman up for the Burning Hammer! That’s it for Tankman! WOW. Tankman did everything he could to put Maff anyways but that dude is so resilient. Mutual respect between the two guys that damn near killed each other. Bruce Santee is out to get in Maff’s face ahead of their war at Pitfighter X.

Winner:  Dan Maff

Match 7: Jake Crist vs. Nolan Edward

“Here comes the f***ery. All sorts of barbed wire doors around here. Crist with a big boot out the gate and a suicide dive to the front row. Crist with a big crossbody but Nolan coming in to eat some big kicks for two. Nolan with a neckbreaker and a deeeeep gory special, releasing it for a near fall. Nolan introduces Crist to the chains, a big series of punches and Crist gut checks Nolan. Nolan with a tornado fisherman’s slam through a door. Nolan sets up another door but Crist with a flash DVD through it for two. Crist with a big vertical suplex. Nolan firing back with chops and knee drops. Crist sabu’s him with several chairs. Nolan crumbling. Superplex into the chairs! Crist sets up a barbed wire door on the chairs. They fight to the top platform....Crist cutters Nolan through it off the top. Nolan kicks out! Nolan is a mess of cuts as Crist sabu’s him again. Crist sets up another barbed wire door. Nolan with a drill bit puts Crist through the door and he stays down. No Flinch gutted out a lot of heavy artillery (as he does) and found away to win this fight. They set up chairs in the ring and have a little stage down, handshake and embrace of respect after.

Winner: Nolan Edward

Back in the ring, Nolan’s on the mic. He got 3 wins in the chains and he calls out Sami Callihan. MAKE IT HAPPEN.

Main Event : The Rejects (John Wayne Murdoch, Reed Bentley & Neil Diamond Cutter) vs. New Jack & Carnage Crew (Loc & DeVito)

This starts as a 3-on-2 handicap. Where IS New Jack? If you know how this should play out, you know where New Jack is. The Rejects attack the Carnage Crew right at the entryway, slamming them into the walls and chairs. NDC gets Loc into the chains to ring the bell while the Rejects work over DeVito at ringside with more chairs. NDC thrown through a razor board. DeVito eats the chains. NDC with a staple gun but he gets money stapled to his tongue. This is violent chaos for about 8-9 minutes of action. The Carnage Crew with a near fall on NDC with a magic killer. Rejects offer one back of their own and they put the Carnage Crew through the doors. HIT THE MUSIC. NATURAL BORN KILLAZ!  New Jack is finally here with his garbage can of death being carried out for him. Jack takes the can and throws it in, enters the ring. Murdoch smashed with a crutch. Bentley dropped with a garbage can lid. New Jack blasts Neil Diamond Cutter over the head with a guitar and the Carnage Crew makes the pin.

WINNERS: New Jack and the Carnage Crew

So I have mixed feelings here. The pop on Natural Born Killaz was real but the reality of the next minute was kind of a let down overall. This was about.....1 minute of New Jack moving in slow motion and seeming REALLY OFF. The Rejects clearly understand this as they get on the mic post-match to put over the GOOD VIOLENCE that occured before Jack showed up. “Next time, no unnecessary BS.” Jack grabs the mic to run down the Rejects for the disrespect. He’s been drinking all day (ah HA) after his flight and gets into Murdoch’s face, calling him out for something in the future (tbd if that actually happens) but the Carnage Crew is certainly up for another war with the Rejects. Murdoch and Jack throw a garbage can at each other. This might be a shoot now but Jack isn’t fired up enough to follow through at the moment. We play NBK one more time as we fade to black.
