IWTV Family Reunion Part 1

AND IWTV's Thursday block begins! Scott Hensley & Rich Palladino are your ring announcers. We have a moment of silence for Shannon Place, a member of the Smart Mark Video crew that passed away this week. 

Match 1: Boomer Hatfield, Boar & Erica Leigh Vs. A Very Good Professional Wrestler, Travis Huckabee & Matt Makowski (Camp Leapfrog showcase)

I LOOOOOOOVE AVGPW's music (THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST THE BEST). He starts against family member and longtime rival, Boomer. AVGPW refused the handshake and kicks it off. AVGPW working the grap but forced to the ropes in frustration. Boomer with a springboard wheelbarrow rollup for two. Good action early. Leigh and Huckabee tag in and get a little more high energy in their striking game. Makowski in with the Boar and he's trying to wrap up through big limbs but Boar is able to power through a lot of it. Leigh and Huckbee trading graps, Travid working her arm on the rope painfully. Makowski in to pick that bone further, he wants the arm bar. Leigh escapes and Boomer in to speed it up with AVGPW. Senset flip pin for two. BOomer tries an up and over, AVGPW with a blatant low kick but the ref admoinishes him anf lets the match continue. Boomer's shook but manages to swing out into an arm drag. The ref keeps yelling at AVGPW for playing dirty on the ropes. AVGPW won't tag out against Boomer but he will run from the Boar. Boar catches a dive of Hukabee and throws him into his partners. Makowski and Huckbee isolate Boar and hit Total Elimination but he's out. Boomer making the save off the top with a meteroa. AVGPW back to palm strike Boomer. Big tower of doom suplex but Huckabee gets backdropped to break it up. Leigh with a spear. Boar hits an flash F5 on Huckabee and AVGPW is too far away to make the save. Great opener!

WInner: Boomer, Boar & Erica Leigh

Match 2: Daniel Makabe vs. Jaden Newman (Scenic City Invitational Showcase)

SICK. Makabe is the technical genius but Newman proves he can go move for move early. Trading pin and submission attempts, Newman forced to reverse and go for the ropes. Makabe with some big uppercuts and a german bridge for two. Newman trying to work the neck but Makabe jacks up the shoulder. Newman with a hard shot to the ear and he's on the defensive, now bloody from the mouth. Newman with another suplex bridge for two. Newman comes into Makabe's guard and wrapped right into Makabe firing back up and landing a corner an armbar. Newman out and hits a backdrop for two. Makabe firing back up and trying to choke out Newman with a knee in the corner. Newman dodges a charge and staggers Makabe more but he gets too busy yelling at the people and Makabe wraps the arm on the top rope, hits a dropkick and superplexes him. Tiger driver from Makabe for two! Newman get the cravat and drags him into a cravat STF. Makabe out , Newman tries a cattle mutiliation. Makabe into a rea naked choke. Newman out but Makabe locks up the shoulder again and Newman screams out and submits. Hell yeah. I love Makabe but Newman is quickly becoming a favorite.

Match 3: Judge Hugo Lexington Black (RSP) vs Will Wrestle (Kody Lane) (Olde Wrestling Showcase)

A judge vs a panhandler. Will picks Hugo's pocket. They fight over the money, trading it back and forth and hiding in on their person. Hugo with stomps and throwing Will into the buckles. Hugo just making the peasant pay for the crime of being a peasant. Hugo takes his show and locks in a spinning toe hold. Wrestle steals Hugo's shoe back. Will tries a sunset flip, Hugo holds the rope while Will steal a five dollar bill from the pocket and the shock of this crime allows Hugo to get rolled up for the three. hahahahahaha. I love this s***.

Match 4: Wheeler Yuta vs. Adam Priest (#1 Contender's Match for the IWTV Championship)

Yuta is hesitant to engage Priest (the HOSS 2021 winner) early on. We kick off and Yuta with  the gurwrench takedown, working into a shoulder lock. Priest back up with the aggressive whips and stiff back elbows. Priest wrapping up the legs but Yuta fires back and batters Priest in the corner. Fight to the outside, trading shots and Yuta posts him. Priest recovers but Yuta throws him to the concrete. Preist back and nursing the shoulder. Yuta twisting at the limb and stomp out the wrist. OW. Yuta is a backpack and rammed into the buckles. Priest with big chopsand kicks to the gut. Priest with a german bridge for two. Priest hits a brain buster for another close two. Yuta with a backfist and DDT's Priest right into a fujiwara armbar. Priest with the rollup, Yuta transitions to the shoulderlock and bridge pins Priest for three. YESSSSSS. Loved this. Both of these guys rule.

Match 5: Dominic Garrini (w/ Kevin Ku) vs. Robert Martyr (Paradigm Pro Wrestling Showcase - UWFI Rules)

UWFI rules are kind of shoot-fight style that prioritize aggression. Dom forces a rope break on Martyr right away. Dom wrapping the kid up in his guard and Robert gets the ropes again. Big german from Big Dom and Martyr has to make the 10-count. Garrini reverses mount and rains palm strikes down. Deep guillotine but Martyr gets put in an arm bar and grabs the ropes. Is Robert out of rope breaks? Dom clocks the kid against and Martyr has to make the count again. Flurry of palm strikes and knees but Martyr grabs a lock and Dom has to take the rope! Martyr has a flurry but Dom with a big german and a side headlock choke and Robert has to quit. DOM IS SO GOOD AT THIS.

Match 6: Willow Nightingale, D-Rogue & James C vs. Funnybone, Nurse Ratchet & Super Beast (Hoodslam Showcase)

Nurse Ratchet dragged to the ring by Superbeast in a body bag. This is gonna rule. Willow is having trouble getting into a test of strength with Ratchet early, settles for trading zombie-like headbutts. Willow keeps Ratchet in the ring as James gets in but the Nurse is going full undertaker and old schools him around the ring to get in position for the tag to Funnybone. They trade middle fingers but Funnybone tries to eat the one presented to him. D-Rogue tries to do better but Funnybone with a big knee lift and that brings in the SUPERBEAST. Everyone is scurred. Belly to belly launch from post to post. Ratchet in with a crossbody but D-Rogue catches and slams her down. Dive to the outside drops the big guys as WIllow in with a uranage. WIllow whiffs a moonsault and gets slammed down by the nurse. James C gets the tag and hits a pumphandle piledriver. Superbeast in to STOP THAT S***. Powerslam/Double stomp combo to James C definitely ends this with a victory for the monsters.

Match 7: Jake Crist (c) vs. John Wayne Murdoch – IWA Mid-South Heavyweight Championship

The rules? No rules. Crist throws a door into Murdoch's face at the bell on this, the 35th defense of the belt. Murdoch drags Jake out and battles around the ring but eats the front row chairs. The crowd KNOWS this is gonna get wild and they are already out of their seats. Bar fight, throwing punches in bunches. Murdoch blasts a chair shot and wedges it in the corner. Neckbreaker for two. Murdoch working the neck, Crist tries to break free but eats a knee to the gut. Murdoch sabu's him and chokes on the rope but Crist with a quick DVD for a two count to stun the Duke. Crist avoids eating the chair, lands kicks and powerslams Murdoch into his own hardware. Crist sets up a door on chairs, Murdoch tries to cut it off but he gets cuttered off the top through it. Murdoch with a destroyer for two! Crist with a backslide but can't get it. The Duke hits a brainbuster but the champ is out! We set up another door, and Murdoch hits a destroyer off the top, overshooting the door but KO'ing Crist entirely for the three count. Wow, Murdoch (the IWTV Wrestler of the Year) absolutely savaged Crist here.

Main Event: Lee Moriarty (c) vs. Edith Surreal (for the IWTV Independent Wrestling Championship)

I have been looking forward to this one since Surreal notched her ticket to this match by winning the Cassandro Cup a couple of weeks ago. Edith Surreal is brought out with great pomp and circumnstance, a gallery showcase deserving of the work of art she is. This is Lee's first defense of the IWTV championship.....could it be his last? Wheeler Yuta is waiting on the winner of this contest next month at Beyond Wrestling. Methodical grappling to kick this off, Lee is trying to wrap up the long limbs of Surreal but she is great at using those same limbs for painful leverage. Edith working the shoulder, Lee rolls through into a pin attempt but uses his body to pop the arm of Surreal around. Fast sequence of moves, big rana and back elbow for two on Lee. Lee claps the ears to stun Edith and hits a hangman's double stomp. Gutwrench slam to the mat but Lee can't put her away. He's frustrated and getting aggressive with knees to the gut and beating on the arm of Surreal. Edith with a sunset flip and traps Lee into a high cradle. She tries to crab but we go into back and forth pin attempts. Spinning bulldog to Lee! Kick out! Top rope leg drop to the champ! Kick out! Edith with a tight cradle but Lee's on the ropes! More pin trades, after a flurry, Lee locks the legs of Surreal at the two to secure the third count. WOW. They shake hands in the center, instand respect. Wheeler Yuta appear in his Masked Wrestler garbs to smash a piece of art over her head. Lee gets in Yuta's face as we cut to black. This whole thing ruled. Lee's gonna have a great run. Edith should be everywhere. Yuta has a war coming in May (if not sooner, assuming Edith wants a piece of retribution).
