Jet Lucas vs. AJ Radical

These are both students from the 907 Wrestling Academy in Alaska.  They locked up and went back and forth on the mat.  Radical nailed a rana and a monkey flip.  He went for a Stinger Splash but was caught and slammed for a two count.

The referee began counting them down but they fought to their feet.  Radical nailed a nice dropckick, then locked on a submission attempt.  Lucas nailed a pumphandle into a neckbreaker for the pin.

Your winner, Jet Lucas!

This was fine as an opener with two young talents in their first ever match.  They seemed exhausted towards the end but until then it was fine.

Maurice Mitchell vs. Nikos Rikos

Mitchell is a rookie with MMA experience.  This is his first match.  Rikos gained control early with some hard chops.  Mitchell finally ducked one and fired back.  He nailed a dropkick that sent Rikos to the floor.  Rikos walked all the way back to the bar of the building before returning to the ring.  They went to lock up again but Rikos went for a kick.  Mitchell caught the kick, took him down and nailed a series of kicks to the chest, then an enziguiri.

Mitchell maintain control until being kicked in the gut.  Mitchell was chopped hard and sent into the opposite corner.  He tried to kick off a charge but was taken down with a back elbow for a two count.  Rikos worked him over but Mitchell kept kicking up.  Rikos continued beating him with hard chops in the corner.  The story was veteran bully breaking down the young upstart.  Mitchell fought back but Nikos just beat him down with relentless shots to the back.  He went for a knee strike but Mitchell stopped him and caught him with a big spike DDT.

The crowd ralled Mitchell, who went for a superkick, which just glancingly hit.  He nailed a series of leg lariats and a standing moonsault for a two count.  He missed a superkick and was clobbered.  Rikos suplexed him and nailed a double stomp but Mitchell kicked up at the last second.  He went for another suplex but Mitchell landed on his feet and superkicked Rikos.  Mitchell came off the top with a frog splash and scored the pin.

Your winner, Maurice Mitchell!

Mitchell athletically has a TON of potential and had announcer Kevin Matthews not stated this was his first bout, I never would have suspected.  Rikos was excellent here as the heel beating the heck out of Mitchell.

Matt Cross & Trixie vs. Freya The Slaya & Jerry Bishop

Jerry Bishop showed off his power early against Cross.  Trixie tagged herself in and tried to play mind games with Bishop.  They locked up and she bit him on the ear and cackled about it.  She jumped on Bishop's back but he was able to get to the corner and tag in Freya.

Freya caught Trixie and nailed a spinning sideslam.  She snapmared Trixie and nailed a big legdrop for a two count.  Trixie bit her on the hand and when Freya protested to the referee, Trixie attacked her but was flipped off Freya's back.  Cross and Bishop tagged in.  Bishop tackled him down but Cross came back with satellite head scissors and a cartwheel into a backspring elbow.  Cross looked so smooth here and scored a two count after a big clothesline.

Trixie tagged back in and choked Bishop against the ropes.  Cross tagged back in and ran Bishop's head into the corner several times.  He attempted to go for it a third time but Bishop blocked and slammed Cross into it.  Bishop was cut off.  Trixie tagged in and used a kick to the mid-section before choking him against the ropes.  Cross and Trixie tagged in and out, working over Bishop in their corner.

Cross went to the top and went for a moonsault but Bishop rolled out of the way.  He grabbed at his knee in pain.  Freya and Trixie each tagged in.  Freya cleaned house and nailed a big Samoan Drop for a two count.  Bishop tagged in but Trixie caught him low.  She held him for Cross but Cross accidentally kicked his own partner.

Cross nailed a jawjacker on Bishop and went to the top.  He attempted a double stomp but Bishop got out of the way.  Cross tossed Bishop out of the ring to the front row.  Cross nailed a pescado to the floor.

Freya slammed Trixie in the ring and ascended to the top rope.  She nailed a top rope legdrop for the pin.

Your winners, Freya The Slaya and Joey Bishop!

The legdrop off the top was crazy.  This was the best Trixie has looked thus far on the tour.    She screamed at Cross, blaming him for the loss.

Zack Gowen vs. Elia Baratz

They did a cat and mouse deal early where Gowen looked really good avoiding him, then snapped his throat over the ropes and went for a sunset flip for a two count.  Baratz tried to sweep his leg but Gowen avoided it.  Baratz charged but Gowen moved and Baratz went to the floor.  Gowen was going for a pescado but Baratz grabbed his leg and pulled him to the floor, drilling him with a hard chop.

Cheeseburger was super over.   He and Axl were in complete control early with double-team maneuvers, scoring some early near falls.  Axl locked on an abdominal stretch.  Cheeseburger helped him, pulling to add the momentum.  A bunch of fans ran over to help pulling, building a chain.  The referee argued with Cheeseburger, allowing The Gentlemen to beat down Axl and nailed a double hiptoss.  They nailed a series of splashes on Axl, scoring near falls.  Brody locked on a trapezious nerve hold, then began drilling Axl in the back with knee strikes.  He tried to fight back but was caught with a boot to the face as he rebounded.  The Nasty Gentlemen kept beating him down.

Baratz went to sent Gowen into the ring post like a lawn dart but Zack pushed off and Baratz hit the post instead.   He staggered back into the ring, where Gowen nailed a legdrop.  Baratz grabbed Gowen but Gowen springboarded off then ropes into a bulldog for a two count.  Baratz was bleeding from his eye from the ring post.  He beat down Gowen, slugging him across the back over and over.  Baratz waited for Gowen to return to standing and went for a suplex, but Gowen caught him with a small package for a two count.  Baratz cut him off with a clothesline and scored a near fall.

They battled back and forth.  Gowen nailed a moonsault but Gowen grabbed his knee.  He crawled over to Baratz, who small pacakged him for a two count.  Baratz argued with the referee.  Gowen schoolboyed him for a two count.  Baratz charged Gowen with a chop block and lifted him for a double underhook slam, scoring the pin.

Your winner, Elia Baratz!

Good match.  Gowen has looked really damn great on every night of the tour.  I'd love to know where Baratz has been hiding as he's played a hell of a heel every night and deserved this win.  I'm shocked he's not getting more attention.
