STREET FIGHT, RUSMAN VS. BARATZ, FALLAH BAHH, ZACK GOWEN, THE GRAYSONS, LSG, MATT CROSS & MORE: 4/3 WRESTLEPRO ALASKA NORTHERN EXPANSION TOUR NIGHT TWO REPORT FROM SOLDOTNA, ALASKA

By Mike Johnson on 2021-04-04 08:12:00

The Amazing Graysons vs. Matt Cross & LSG

JP Grayson and LSG started out.  They went for a test of strength but LSG went for a waistlock takedown.  JP, who has a big amateur background, reversed and they traded takedowns.  Grayson looked super smooth here.  LSG gained control and worked over the arm.  Cross tagged in and came off the top with a big double sledgehammer, then followed with an elbow for a two count.  JP kicked off a charge into the corner but was caught with a sideslam for a two count.  Cross was a lot more verbal in terms of playing to the live crowd.

The Graysons cut off Cross and worked him over with double team back elbows.  The Graysons have some nice, arrogant swagger.    Cross finally broke free and made the hot tag to LSG.  LSG showed some nice fire here and almost scored the pin with a flying bodypress.  LG was tossed from the ring.  Now it was LSG's turn to take the brunt of the Grayson beating, being stomped and tossed hard in the buckles by Tommy and JP.  Tommy nailed a double mule kick, using the ropes for leverage.  LSG kept kicking out but was unable to score a tag.   Graysons did a nice job of cutting the ring off from LSG.  The crowd began to chant for LSG, which distracted Tommy Grayson and allowed LSG to finally score a neckbreaker and make the hot tag.

Cross cleaned house with a series of lariats and cartwheels into back elbows.  He nailed a stereo DDT and Flatliner on The Graysons but JP kicked out at the two count.  Cross went for a DVDR but The Graysons nailed a double superkick, sending him to the floor.  LSG hit the ring but was taken out with a superkick.  Cross leapt from the top but was nailed in mid-air.  Cross rebounded off the ropes and nailed a double Ace Cutter.  LSG nailed a big slam, setting up Cross to hit a shooting star press for the pin.

Your winners, LSG & Matt Cross!

A thoroughly enjoyable tag match.

Elia Baratz vs. WrestlePro Interim Gold Champion Deonn Rusman

This is a title bout with the story being that Rusman demanded to defend the title despite the fact he has a unification bout later in the tour.

The story early on was Baratz using his strength with Rusman's finesse and fighting spirit trying to negate it.  Rusman showed a lot of fire with his offense early on.  He nailed a big powerslam for a two count.  Baratz cut him off and the story was that he wanted to punish Rusman when he could have easily gone for a pinfall.  He choked Rusman against the ropes, placing his boot on Rusman's back.  Rusman fired back with elbows but was drilled with a neckbreaker variant for a two count.  Baratz kept beating him in the corner.

Baratz went for a double arm suplex but Rusman escaped, only to be wiped out with a spinebuster for a two count.  This was very much a strong 1980s babyface vs. heel formula with Rusman having to truly fight his way out of trouble.  He finally did but was hit with a German suplex.  He popped up and nailed a twisting sit-out powerbomb.  Both men were down as the referee counted them out.  Rusman hit a kip up and charged but was booted in the face.  Baratz nailed a Russian Legsweep into the buckles for a close two count.

Baratz nailed a Jay-Driller and scored a close two count.   Baratz missed a spear when Rusman leapfrogged him.  Russman nailed a F5 and speared him for the pin.

Your winner and still champion, Deonn Rusman!

Very good.

They announced Rusman vs. Bobby Wayward for Wednesday with the idea Wayward is 2-0 on the tour going into his title match.

SOLDOTNA STREET FIGHT: Vargas vs. Micah Taylor vs. Bryson Axl vs. Chris Wilde vs. Nikos Rikos vs. Jerry Bishop

Vargas plays the 80s style savage monster.  Taylor is a former WWE developmental talent from the Deep South Wrestling era.

Everyone is battling at the same time, so good luck to me trying to follow it.

A lot of brawling in the ring and around the ringside area.  Taylor got a chair and began drilling everyone at ringside with it.  Vargas nailed a big suplex on Bishop.  Vargas beat up Bishop on the back of a pickup truck that was parked inside as a sponsorship deal.  Everyone battled towards the truck.  Bishop tried to piledrive Vargas on the bed of the truck but Vargas fought him off.  He nailed a DVDR off the truck onto everyone else, most of whom failed to catch poor Bishop.

Taylor and Vargas began beating everyone down on the floor.  Vargas dragged Wilde and Axl to the ring, then began tossing weapons into the squared circle including a huge piece of plywood.  Vargas began slamming everyone.  Micah Taylor ate a banana and tossed the peel in the ring.  Vargas charged for a dive but slipped on the peel.  Really?   Taylor began nailing everyone with a cookie sheet.  Axl began using a broom on everyone.  Rikos got his hands on the cookie sheet and laid waste to everyone.  Everyone fought on the floor.  Rikos grabbed a chair and drilled Bishop across the back.  Axl hit a dive off the top onto everyone battling on the floor.   With everyone out, Rikos took out a Connect Four board game and began filling it in the corner.    Bishop returned to the ring and nailed him.  Bishop went for a dive but Nikos smashed the Connect Four in his face as he came through the ropes.  He scored a two count.  Taylor began beating everyone with a trash can lid.  They built to a Tower of Doom spot to spotlight Vargas' power but Rikos drilled him and knocked him out of the ring.  Rikos used salad tongs on Wilde's, well, manhood but Wilde danced his way out of it, returned the favor and superkicked him.  Taylor kicked Wilde and drilled him with a package piledriver.  Bishop nailed an exploder on him but Vargas caught him with an overhead toss suplex.  Vargas lariated Axl and went outside the ring to pour Legos in the ring.  Axl nailed him with a series of trash can lid shots to the head and Vargas crashed into the Legos.

Rikos speared Axl through the plywood in the corner and scored the pin.

Your winner Nikos Rikos!

This was what you would have expected from this type of hardcore bout.
