WWE NETWORK ADDING MORE MID-SOUTH WRESTLING

By Mike Johnson & Paul Jordan on 2018-05-17 17:05:00

The WWE Network began uploading 1983 TV episodes of Mid-South Wrestling over the last few hours.

PWInsider.com previously reported that WWE planned to add 76 new episodes of the series to the Vault section of the streaming service for June, so it appears they are starting early.

Created in 1979 by Bill Watts, Mid-South ran the Gulf Coast territory through the mid-1980s when it was purchased by Jim Crockett Promotions.    The 1983 episodes will feature Hacksaw Duggan, Steve Williams, Kamala, Ted DiBiase, Matt Borne, Mr. Wrestling II, Gino Hernandez, The Great Kabuki, Andre the Giant, Junkyard Dog, a rookie Marty Lunde (who would go on to become Arn Anderson) and more.
