EVOLVE NEWS AND NOTES

By Mike Johnson on 2017-10-12 16:16:00

As of today, WWN still has yet to be served in the lawsuit Flosports Inc has filed against them in Texas.  Interesting to note that IPW-UK, the last promotion scheduled to have a live broadcast on that streaming service, announced this week they would no longer work with Flosports, so the future of that service looks to be very dark.

In an email to talent today, Gabe Sapolsky noted the company are mulling over different possibilities for how they will stream their events going forward, but made it clear that WWE Network was not one of the current options, noting he wanted to kill any rumors.

The advance for Queens is much, much better than the advance for CT.

The never announced but planned FIP event for this month in Florida has been canceled.  SHINE is running on 10/20.

As we noted earlier, the company would be dark for November, so this weekend's events in Queens, NY and East Haddam, Connecticut will be the final EVOLVE events until December with SHINE as the final WWNLive event overall until December.   As we noted previously here on PWInsider.com, WWN will be cutting back on events as they had expended to five events a month as part of their deal with Flosports.  Financially, there's no way WWNLive cannot be hurting, especially given they claim they are owed months of payments from Flosports.

"The End" videos are simply the start of a new storyline.

Stokely Hathaway is getting more power behind the scenes, working on social media aspects of the company as well as outreach to media outlets.

Chris Bonjour, a wrestler and stand-up comedian, has come on board to work for the company behind the scenes.

The Ugly Ducklings, who work regularly in the Carolinas, will debut on 10/15 in CT.

WWNLive has released its Wrestlemania 34 weekend schedule for New Orleans.  Thursday evening will be an EVOLVE event followed by another event to be announced (head to head with Wrestlecon Supershow).  On Friday will be PROGRESS at 12 Noon, EVOLVE at 4 PM, the Mercury Rising Supershow at 8 PM (head to head with WWE Hall of Fame) and the second annual Joey Janela’s Spring Break event at 11:55 p.m.  Saturday at 12 PM is another PROGRESS event with additional events to be announced all day.

EVOLVE 94 in Queens on 10/14 is headlined by Matt Riddle defending his WWN Championship in a Last Man Standing match against challenger Keith Lee.  EVOLVE Champion Zack Sabre Jr vs. Jaka in a Non Title Match,Tracy Williams w/ Stokely Hathaway vs Fred Yehi plus Darby Allin, Jarek 1:20, Chris Dickinson, Jason Kincaid, Austin Theory, Priscilla Kelly and more.

EVOLVE 95 in CT on 10/15 is headlined by EVOLVE champion Zack Sabre Jr. vs Tracy Williams (if Williams Wins at EVOLVE 94).  WWN Champion Matt Riddle vs. Fred Yehi, Keith Lee vs Darbin Allin plus Austin Theory w/ Priscilla Kelly, Jason Kincaid, Jarek 1:20, EVOLVE Tag Team Champions Chris Dickinson and Jaka and more.

The shows will be streamed at WWNLive.com.
