RING OF HONOR TELEVISION REPORT: TAG WARS; WHICH THREE TEAMS WILL FACE reDRagon?

This week’s show starts with Jay and Mark Briscoe talking about Tag Wars. It is tag team action at its finest. Jay says that Truth will not be able to buy his way to the tag team titles. His men have to face Dem Boys. Mark says that they will become the nine time Tag Team Champions.

We are in Baltimore, Maryland and your announcers are Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino.

Tonight is Tag Wars with three tag team matches with the winners facing Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish in an Elimination Tag Match in two weeks on television.

Match Number One: Jay Lethal and J Diesel (with Truth Martini) versus Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe in a Tag Wars First Round Match)

Mark and Lethal start things off. Lethal mocks Mark and calls him a chicken. They lock up and Mark with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Diesel wants to tag in but Lethal refuses. They lock up and Mark with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Mark with another shoulder tackle. Mark with another shoulder tackle and then he runs into Diesel and goes down.

Diesel says that he has it but he has not tagged in so the referee sends him back to the apron. Lethal tags Diesel in. They lock up and he sends Mark to the mat. Mark with a punch to the midsection and a side head lock. Mark with a shoulder tackle but Diesel stays on his feet. Mark tries again and Diesel with a clothesline.

Jay tags in and Diesel punches Jay but Jay with head butts and jabs. Jay with an Irish whip but he runs into a boot. Jay with a clothesline and Diesel goes to the floor. We go to commercial.

We are back and Jay punches Lethal but Diesel and Mark enter the ring and we have an ROH Tag match now. Jay sends Lethal to the floor while Diesel sends Mark into the corner with an Irish whip. Jay with a boot to Diesel and Jay gets a near fall. Mark tags in and he punches Diesel in the ribs and he slams Diesel and follows with an elbow drop. Jay tags back in and he kicks Diesel in the ribs.

Jay with a front face lock but Diesel backs Jay into the corner and Lethal tags in and he connects with elbows and head butts. Lethal with a kick but he misses a drop kick when Jay holds on to the ropes. Jay blocks being sent into the turnbuckles and he knocks Diesel off the apron. Mark tries to get into the ring but the referee sends him back to the apron. While this happens, the referee’s back is turned on Diesel and Truth tripping Jay and pulling him ding ding first into the ring post.

Lethal with a slam and he tags Diesel back in. Diesel with a boot to the upper chest followed by an Irish whip and clothesline into the corner. Diesel with an elbow to Mark on the apron followed by a boot to the head. Lethal tags in and they go for a double suplex and hit it. Lethal does some sit ups before covering Jay.

Lethal with a reverse chin lock. Lethal puts Jay on the turnbuckles and chops him in the back. Lethal goes to the apron for a super Gibson Driver but Jay with punches to Lethal followed by forearms and a superplex. Diesel and Mark are tagged in and Mark with a palm thrust and chops. Mark goes redneck Kobashi and follows with a flying shoulder tackle. Mark lands on his feet on a back body attempt and then he hits an overhead uranage. Lethal with a super kick to Mark and then he hits a springboard drop kick to Jay.

Lethal sets for a suicide dive onto Jay but Jay with a forearm that keeps Lethal in the ring. Mark with a chop from the turnbuckles to Lethal followed by a clothesline to Diesel. Jay with a splash in the corner on Diesel. Mark with a clothesline for a near fall. Mark with a drop kick to Lethal and Jay hits a Jay Driller. Mark goes up top for the elbow drop and he get the three count.

Winners: Jay Briscoe and Mark Briscoe (Advance to face reDRagon and two other teams in two weeks)

We go to commercial.

We are back and BJ Whitmer yells at Colby Corino, who is working at ringside for this week’s show and Steve stands up to make sure that nothing happens to his son.

Match Number Two: Jimmy Jacobs and BJ Whitmer versus Frankie Kazarian and Christopher Daniels in a Tag Wars First Round Match

Whitmer and Jacobs attack Daniels and Kazarian as they enter the ring and they brawl to the floor while streamers continue to litter the ring.

The referee starts the match while they fight on the floor with Jacobs working over Kazarian and Whitmer works over Daniels in the ring.

Whitmer with a forearm to the back and a shoulder tackle. Kazarian sends Jacobs into the ring post while Daniels slams Whitmer and hits an elbow drop. Daniels sends Whitmer into the turnbuckles and Kazarian tags in. Kazarian with a kick, Daniels with a clothesline to the back of the neck and a back senton from Kazarian for a near fall. Jacobs holds Kazarian on the apron while Whitmer kicks Kazarian.

Jacobs tags in and kicks Kazarian. Jacobs sends Kazarian into the turnbuckles and he punches Frankie. Kazarian with an Irish whip followed by a facebuster and side Russian leg sweep for a near fall. kazarian sends Jacobs into Daniels’ boot and then Daniels tags in. Daniels with a punch to the midsection and Kazarian with a running neck breaker. Daniels with a delayed vertical suplex and he gets a near fall.

Daniels sends Jacobs into Kazarian’s boot. Daniels with a slingshot elbow drop and Kazarian with a slingshot leg drop after making the tag and he gets a near fall. Jacobs sends Kazarian to the apron. Whitmer blocks a suplex attempt to the floor and he knocks Kazarian off the apron with a punch. Jacobs sends Daniels to the floor and then Whitmer and Jacobs with suicide dives onto Daniels and Kazarian.

Jacobs sends Kazarian back into the ring while Whitmer sends Daniels into the guardrails. Whitmer chokes Kazarian from the floor and we go to commercial.

We are back and Jacobs holds Kazarian for Whitmer to hit a curb stomp. Whitmer chokes Kazarian with the bottom rope and Jacobs with a punch to Kazarian. Whitmer sends Kazarian into the turnbuckles and he chops Kazarian. Kazarian with forearms but Whitmer sends Kazarian into Jacobs’ boots. Jacobs tags in and they send Kazarian back first into the turnbuckles numerous times and Jacobs gets a near fall.

Jacobs with a waist lock. Whitmer tags in and he kicks Kazarian in the midsection. Whitmer and Jacobs hit a neck breaker and power bomb combination for a near fall. Whitmer punches Kazarian but Kazarian punches back. They continue the exchange but Kazarian also punches Jacobs and that allows Whitmer to recover and rake the eyes. Jacobs tags back in and he takes Kazarian to the mat with a double leg take down and he connects with forearms and gets a near fall.

Whitmer tags in and he snap mares Kazarian and connects with an elbow to the top of the head followed by a reverse chin lock. Kazarian with a punch but Whitmer with a forearm. Daniels tags in and he connects with a shoulder from the apron and he rolls Whitmer through and hits an enzuigiri. Daniels knocks Jacobs off the apron and then he hits a series of clotheslines on Whitmer.

Daniels with a kick and STO. Jacobs hits Daniels from behind but Daniels with a kick and elbow and then he sends Jacobs into Whitmer. Daniels with a quebrada for a near fall. Daniels sets for Angel’s Wings but Jacobs hits Daniels. Whitmer with a European uppercut and Jacobs with a cutter from the turnbuckles. Whitmer with a Saito suplex for a near fall.

Whitmer tries for a uranage but Daniels with an arm drag counter. Kazarian is tagged in and he hits a shoulder from the apron followed by a slingshot DDT for a near fall. Jacobs with punches to Daniels after Jacobs breaks up the cover. Jacobs with a forearm to Kazarian in the corner but Daniels with a kick to Jacobs followed by a leg sweep from Kazarian and a flying clothesline from Daniels.

Whitmer clotheslines Daniels and punches Kazarian. Whitmer with punches to Daniels and he Irish whips him. Daniels with a boot and he tries for Angel’s Wings but Whitmer with a back body drop. Kazarian with the Tomikaze for the three count.

Winners: Frankie Kazarian and Christopher Daniels (Advance to Tag Wars Finals against reDRagon, The Briscoes, and one more team)

We go to commercial.

We are back with comments from the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Champions, Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly. Bobby wants to know if Ring of Honor is trying to insinuate that they are ducking a challenger with Tag Wars. If you want to face them, all you have to do is ask. Kyle asks if ROH is panicking. He tells you to just call their name three times. Bobby says it twice and Kyle stops him before saying it the third time because you wouldn’t wish them on anyone.

Match Number Three: Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson versus ACH and Matt Sydal in a Tag Wars First Round Match

Nick and ACH start things off and they lock up. Nick with a wrist lock but ACH with a reversal. Nick with a cartwheel into a reversal but ACH with a side head lock. ACH with a shoulder tackle and he does a back flip and then hits a drop kick. ACH with a wrist lock and he tags in Sydal. Matt goes up top and hits a double stomp to the arm. Sydal with a wrist lock but Nick with a punch and he tags in Matt.

Matt with a kick and punches after suckering Sydal into a test of strength. Sydal with a head scissors and drop kick followed by a running elbow into the corner and a flying boot into the corner for a near fall. Matt with a head scissors and he misses a super kick. Sydal with a leg sweep and standing moonsault for a near fall.

Matt slides to the floor and Sydal follows. Nick kicks Sydal from the apron and then Matt hits a drop kick through the ropes onto ACH. Nick kicks Sydal on the floor and then he sends Sydal back into the ring. Matt kicks Sydal in the head as we go to commercial.

We are back and the Jacksons with a double back elbow. Matt picks up Sydal with a double chicken wing. Nick with a back heel kick followed by a uranage gutbuster. Matt with a flip neck breaker while Sydal is still on Nick’s knee for a back breaker. Nick gets a near fall. Nick kicks Sydal and Sydal tries to get to his corner but Nick stops him. Nick with a wrist lock and he tags in Matt.

Matt with a punch to Sydal but Sydal with a kick. Matt backs Sydal into the corner and Nick holds Sydal for Matt to go all gymnastic into a BACK RAKE. Matt chokes Sydal in the ropes. Matt with a reverse chin lock on Sydal. Matt keeps Sydal from making the tag and pulls him to the mat. Matt slaps Sydal against the ropes. Sydal with chops to Matt but Sydal cannot make the tag. Matt kicks Sydal and snap mares him into a front face lock.

Sydal with a knee to the thigh but Matt with a forearm to the back. Sydal tries for a head scissors take down but Matt holds on and Nick comes in and hits a super kick. Matt knocks ACH off the apron and he gets a near fall. Nick comes in because he can and they try for an assisted Asai DDT but Sydal stays on his feet.

Sydal with a step over leg lariat to Nick while hitting a chinbreaker on Matt. Everyone not named ACH and is wrestling in the match is down. ACH is tagged in and he knocks Nick off the apron a few times while clotheslining Matt. ACH with chops to Matt and he goes Kobashi. Matt with an Irish whip and ACH floats over and he kicks Matt away. ACH with a hip toss into the turnbuckles.

ACH goes up top but Nick pulls Matt to the floor. ACH with a Fosbury Flop onto Nick and Matt. ACH sends Matt back into the ring and ACH goes up top for a double stomp to the back of the head. Nick comes in and Sydal hits a double knee splash from the turnbuckles. Sydal tells ACH to go up top.

Nick pushes the referee into the ropes and it crotches Sydal since he is the wrestler closest to the spot where the referee hit the rope while ACH waits on top on the other side of the ring. Matt moves out of the way and ACH lands on his feet and rolls through. Matt with an Irish whip and ACH sets to float over again but Matt with a super kick to ACH. Matt hits the Assisted Asai DDT followed by a Shining Wizard from Nick but Matt can only get a two count.

Matt with a head scissors on Sydal while Sydal is on the apron and Nick with a Shining Wizard to knock Sydal off the apron. Nick with a tornado DDT off the apron to Sydal on the floor. The Bucks set for More Bang for your Buck but ACH gets out of the fireman’s carry and he sends Matt into the turnbuckles and it crotches Nick.

ACH tries for an Irish whip but Matt is able to get ACH set for a tombstone and they hit the Indytaker for a near fall but Sydal is able to break up the cover. Sydal with chops and kicks to Nick and Matt. Matt blocks a round kick from Sydal and he spins Sydal into a back elbow from Nick. They set for a double super kick but Sydal avoids it and he hits a double rana. Sydal with a jumping back heel kick to Nick. Matt tries to super kick Sydal but Sydal ducks and Matt hits his brother instead. Nick goes through the ropes to the floor.

Sydal with a leaping knee followed by a springboard flatline from ACH. Sydal goes up top and hits the Shooting Star Press. ACH follows with a 450 splash and he gets the three count.

Winners: ACH and Matt Sydal (Advance to face reDRagon, The Briscoes, and The Addiction in the finals of Tag Wars)
