WWE MAIN EVENT REPORT: SHEAMUS VERSUS WYATT; PAIGE IN ACTION; THE FUTURE OF THE BROTHERHOOD; AND MORE

We are in Kansas City, Missouri and your announcers are Tom ‘I-70’ Phillips and Byron ‘Royal Flush’ Saxton.

Match Number One: Goldust (with Cody Rhodes) versus Alberto Del Rio

Del Rio misses a splash in the corner when the bell rings and Goldust with punches. Del Rio with kicks and punches but the referee pulls Del Rio out of the corner. Goldust with an Irish whip but he misses a splash in the corner and Del Rio with a lungblower for a near fall. Del Rio chokes Goldust in the ropes and the referee warns him. Del Rio with punches to Goldust followed by a slam and he gets a near fall.

Del Rio with a rear chin lock and his knee in the back. Goldust with punches but Del Rio with a punch of his own and a kick to the leg and a shot to the back of the leg. Goldust with a drop down uppercut and a power slam and both men are down.

Del Rio pushes Goldust into the corner and Del Rio with a step up enzuigiri for a near fall. Del Rio with a belly-to-back suplex and then he pulls down the knee pad for the super kick but Goldust moves and Goldust with a dragon screw leg whip. Goldust hits the Final Cut for the three count.

Winner: Goldust

After the match, Cody celebrates in the ring with his brother.

Renee Young enters the ring to interview Goldust. She asks him if they are going to continue to be a tag team or go their separate ways.

Goldust is shocked and he says nay nay. The Brotherhood is intact. Although they might compete in singles matches, they will always have each other’s backs.

Renee asks Cody if he is proud that his brother beat Alberto Del Rio.

Cody asks Renee if she is trying to say that Goldust is better because he beat Del Rio and he couldn’t. Cody apologizes. He says that he is not himself these days. The Brotherhood is together and the Brotherhood will stay together.

They shake hands and hug.

Tom mentions that today is World Wish Day.

We see footage of John Cena’s most recent wishes that were granted.

The Dean Ambrose title defense on Smackdown is now a Fatal Four Way Match with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins banned from ringside.

Match Number Two: Paige versus Alicia Fox

They lock up and they both go to the floor. Paige with a forearm on the floor and she follows with a kick and rana off the apron. Alicia rolls to the other side of the ring and she screams in fear. Paige pulls Alicia back onto the apron but Alicia forces Paige’s throat into the ropes. Alicia sends Paige into the turnbuckles.

Alicia gets a near fall. Alicia with a reverse chin lock. Alicia with an Irish whip but Paige with elbows in the corner. Alicia Fox with a boot to Paige and then she gets a near fall. Alicia tries for a sunset flip but Paige with a kick. Paige tosses Alicia around the ring by her hair.

Paige with knees to Alicia while Alicia hangs from the middle rope. Alicia with a rollup into a near fall. Alicia tries for a suplex but Paige blocks it and Paige with a package DDT for the three count.

Winner: Paige

After the match, Tamina Snuka shows up on the stage as Paige goes up the ramp. They stare each other down and then Tamina walks away.

We take a look at the opening segment from Raw.

Renee Young is with Sheamus in the interview area. She asks Sheamus about whether he is concerned about facing Bray Wyatt. Sheamus says that he is used to those type of things. He says that he doesn’t believe in monsters but people are scary. He grew up tearing these type of people apart. He says drop the masks because it is time to fight . . . fellas.

We go to commercial.

Wade Barrett says that he has some bad news as he goes to the ring. On Sunday, he will be facing a cardboard cutout of a champion. A man so bland, so boring, and so dimwitted that he will go down in history with the personality of a piece of dry toast. He won’t be as Big when he is defeated and no longer has the Intercontinental Championship.

Match Number Three: Kofi Kingston versus Wade Barrett

They lock up and Barrett has a punch blocked and Kofi with punches. Barrett with a back heel kick to the midsection followed by a kick and he gets a near fall. Barrett with an elbow to the back of the head. Barrett tries for a slingshot belly-to-back suplex but Kofi lands on his feet and he kicks Barrett in the corner.

Barrett charges into a pendulum kick and Kofi with a springboard cross body for a near fall. Barrett with a tilt-a-whirl back breaker for a near fall. Barrett pulls up the elbow pad for the Bullhammer but Kofi with a rollup for a near fall.

Kofi with a drop kick that sends Barrett to the floor. Kofi waits for Barrett to get into position and he tries for a baseball slide. Barrett pulls Kofi to the floor but Kofi avoids a clothesline. Kofi leaps over the steps to avoid them. Kofi leaps off the steps and Barrett with a Bullhammer and he rolls Kofi into the ring and gets the three count.

Winner: Wade Barrett

We go to commercial.

We take a look at Stephanie McMahon’s apology to Daniel Bryan for what happened to him the previous week at the hands of Kane.

Bray Wyatt makes his way to the ring, remembering which city Main Event is in.

We go to commercial.

We come back from commercial and it is sing along with Bray time . . . until Sheamus’ music drowns out the vocal stylings of the man who will face John Cena at Extreme Rules.

Match Number Four: Bray Wyatt (with Luke Harper and Erick Rowan) versus Sheamus

They lock up and Sheamus backs Wyatt into the corner and Sheamus with a clean break. They lock up again and Wyatt with a side head lock. Wyatt with a shoulder tackle. They lock up and Sheamus with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Sheamus with another shoulder tackle and he gets a near fall. Sheamus with a wrist lock but Wyatt with a punch. Sheamus punches back.

Wyatt with an uppercut to stop Sheamus. Wyatt chokes Sheamus on the top rope. Sheamus grabs Wyatt by the beard and he punches Wyatt. Sheamus with a back elbow and a knee drop. Sheamus goes to the turnbuckles and he connects with a knee drop for a near fall. Sheamus pulls Wyatt onto the apron and Harper and Rowan pull Bray to the floor to avoid the forearms.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Wyatt with an uppercut and forearm to Sheamus. Sheamus goes to the floor and Wyatt follows after him. Sheamus with a forearm to Wyatt and he avoids Harper. Sheamus with an elbow and he sends Wyatt into the announce table. They fight on the apron while the referee makes his count. Wyatt with kicks to Sheamus.

Sheamus with a punch and Wyatt with kicks. Wyatt with a forearm to the back and he sends Sheamus face first into the apron and Wyatt gets a near fall. Wyatt with a back senton and he asks if this is your warrior. Wyatt with a boot to Sheamus followed by a punch.

Wyatt runs his forearm across Sheamus’ face and he follows with a hard Irish whip and boot in the corner. Wyatt gets a near fall. Wyatt with a forearm across the chest. Wyatt with a quarter nelson and chin lock. Sheamus gets to his feet and he punches Wyatt. Wyatt goes for a back senton but Sheamus gets his knees up and both men are down.

Wyatt with a punch but Sheamus with a forearm and punches. Sheamus with two running double sledges and a running shoulder into the corner followed by a knee lift. Sheamus with a running knee that sends him to the apron. Sheamus goes up top and he rolls through when Wyatt moves. Wyatt avoids the tilt-a-whirl back breaker and he counters with a uranage and he gets a near fall.

Wyatt goes into the corner and he leans back to look at Sheamus. Wyatt picks up Sheamus for Sister Abigail but Sheamus escapes and he hits White Noise for a near fall. Wyatt with a punch and then Wyatt tries to back drop Sheamus over the top rope and Sheamus lands on the apron and he connects with the ten forearms. Sheamus goes up top and hits the flying shoulder tackle and he gets a near fall.

Wyatt misses a clothesline but he hits a running cross body and gets a near fall. Wyatt with a punch and then he goes for a splash into the corner and Sheamus tries for a Brogue Kick but Wyatt ducks it. Sheamus with a uranage back breaker and gets a near fall. Sheamus sets for the Brogue Kick with the forearms across his own chest.

Rowan distracts Sheamus but Wyatt misses an attack and Sheamus with a power slam but he can only get a two count. Sheamus gets Wyatt on his shoulders but he avoids it. Sheamus missesa Brogue Kick when he tries to give it to Harper. Wyatt with a shot to the back of the leg and then he hits Sister Abigail for the three count.

Winner: Bray Wyatt

After the match, Sheamus is attacked by the Wyatt Family. The Usos make their way to the ring and they take care of Harper and Rowan.
