Michael Elgin vs. ?

Obviously Matt Hardy isn’t here. He posted a Youtube video from the airport apologizing.

Elgin said for the last week, he’s been wanting to kick Matt Hardy’s ass. He said that he heard Hardy’s flight was “canceled.” He said he used to think Hardy was stupid but now he realizes how smart he is by hiding. He said that they are here to celebrate the 12th anniversary of ROH and the best wrestling on the planet. He said that ROH gives wrestlers a chance and he watches them take unknowns and makes them stars. He said that he watches everyone to see who the next star is. He called out Ramond Rowe, saying he wanted to show whether he can belong or not.

Elgin worked over Rowe and nailed a delayed vertical suplex. He went for another but Rowe nailed kicks while upside down. Elgin almost lost him but powered him back up.

Rowe made a comeback and hit a diving clothesline for a two count. He powered Elgin into the corner and muscled him to the top. Elgin fought him off then backdropped him over the top to the apron. He pulled Rowe up and nailed a superplex for a two count.

They battled back and forth with stiff forearms. Elgin peppered him with forearms and lariats, then locked Rowe in a Crossface. Rowe fought to the ropes to break free.

Your winner, Michael Elgin!

Solid match with some good power spots. With Hardy not able to make it, they decided to showcase Rowe as a potential future player and Elgin did a good job of that. I think this may have gone a little too long, but you can’t deny they gave a really good effort.

They shook hands after the match. ROH champ Adam Cole hit the ring and tried to attack Elgin. Rowe stopped him and Elgin grabbed him and went for a powerbomb but Mike Bennett attacked him from behind. Bennet and Cole worked over Rowe and Elgin but Jay Briscoe made the save. He said the world was waiting for the Real World championship to be defended, so they will do it right now.

Jay Briscoe vs. Michael Bennett

They brawled all over the ringside area. Briscoe manhandled Bennett and slammed him against the corner of the apron. They battled around ringside and finally back into the ring.

Briscoe whipped him into the corner but was caught with a kick. Bennett and Briscoe exchanged blows. Briscoe nailed him with a big clubbing forearm. Briscoe picked up Bennett and power dropped him down.

Brisoce went to the top but was cut off by Bennett. He went for a superplex but was fought off. Briscoe hit a frog splash for a two count. Briscoe nailed a superkick and hit a brainbuster for a two count. The crowd chanted for Briscoe.

Cole, at ringside, distracted Briscoe. Bennett rolled him up for a two count. Maria Kanellis got on the apron to argue with the referee. That allowed Briscoe to low blow Bennett and nailed the Jay-Driller for the pin.

Your winner, Jay Briscoe!

Another fun back and forth match. Good show so far.

After intermission, they filmed a TV show opening.

ROH Tag Team champions ReDragon vs. ACH & Tadarious Thomas

Thomas and Fish started out and went back and forth with some really good wrestling. ACH tagged in and slapped both Fish and O’Reilly. He took them down with headlock takeovers and tagged Thomas.

They brought O’Reilly into their corner and double teamed him. Fish tried to get involved but was admonished by the referee. Thomas and O’Reilly battled back and forth with forearms. O’Reilly cut him off with a kick as he rebounded off the ropes.

Fish tagged in and slammed Thomas down. He nailed a big belly to back suplex for a two count. Thomas went for a sunset flip but O’Reilly caught him in an armbreaker as he was going over. They worked over Thomas, who finally made the hot tag to ACH.

ACH worked over O’Reilly and hung him in the tree of woe. He placed Fish atop of him and hit a diving clothesline onto Fish. He nailed stereo neckbreakers and stunners on them. Thomas drilled Fish with a stiff forearm and a back suplex for a two count. ReDragon came back with an insanely stiff knee off the ropes on Thomas as he was held in the backbreaker position.

ReDragon peppered Thomas with kicks. ACH came in with an insane missile dropkick on both. He hit a dive on O’Reilly and then hit a big springboard splash for a three count but the referee saw his foot on the rope. ACH celebrated but didn’t realize about the foot on the rope. Thomas hit the scene and battled with ReDragon. He nailed a belly to back suplex for a two count. O’Reilly dumped ACH with an insane belly to back suplex. They went into a series of flying moves off the apron, culminating with O’Reilly nailing a big running knee to the floor. ACH did a dive onto everyone.

ACH tossed him into the ring and went for a 450 splash but O’Reilly caught him in a triangle choke as he hit the ring and ACH tapped. AWESOME FINISHING SEQUENCE.

Your winners and still ROH Tag Team champions, ReDragon!

Big ROH chant. Great match.
