We are back and Michael Cole is in the ring to bring out one of the most respected announcers in wrestling. A man who was the voice of the business for 30 years. He brings out Jim Ross.

Cole congratulates Jim on JR Appreciation Night in his home town of Oklahoma City to call Raw on his night. He asks him how he feels.

Jim is interrupted by CM Punk and Paul Heyman and Punk has unzipped his hoodie halfway.

Punk tells Cole that he can leave while Heyman holds the title belt over his head. Punk wants to feel the spirit of the people of Oklahoma City. Punk tells him that he does not want shoes to fill because he will fill them. He asks if he is a bad guy.

Punk says we are here for Jim Ross Appreciation Night. He wants everyone to yell out JR’s name. Punk tells Jim that he is the best announcer that they have and he respects the hell out of Jim. The people respect Jim and they are here to shower him with respect. Punk says that they do not know the first thing about respect.

Punk says that he is the Best in the World. Punk says that he deserves respect but the people twist and turn what he says. The people turned their back on him. Punk wants to show everyone how to treat someone who deserves respect.

That is why Jim is going to help him teach everyone respect by telling everyone that Punk is the Best in the World

Jim says that he is glad that Punk is not going to embarrass him tonight because Punk has done a good job making himself look like a jackass over the last few weeks.

Punk says that he wishes he could say that he was not disappointed in Jim. He comes out here when everyone else treats him like crap and then he says that they have something in common, but Jim does not respond in kind?

Punk says that if he is here to embarrass Jim tonight because that is where we are tonight. What if he treats Jim with the same disrespect that Jim showed him. Who will help Jim tonight? Is it Stone Cold? Lawler and Austin cannot help him. 3:16 used to mean that Jim’s buddy Stone Cold would get his hand on you. Now, 316 is the number of days that CM Punk has held the WWE Championship.

316 now belongs to him, the Best in the World, just like Jim Ross belongs to him. When did Jim get so tough with his John Wayne hat and his phony Stone Cold goatee. Punk tells Jim that he has to say that Punk is the best in the world. He doesn’t care how Jim says it, but he will say it.

Jim says that he will not say it. Jim says that he has called some of the best matches in the WWE with the best in the world. He has called Wrestlemania Main Events with Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart. He has called matches involving Triple H and the Undertaker. Steve Austin and those men have one thing in common. They weren’t asked to be called the best in the world. If they asked he would have called them the Best in the World because they earned it.

Jim says that with no disrespect, the bottom line is that Punk accept John Cena’s challenge for Hell in a Cell. If he can beat John Cena, he will be the first person to look CM Punk in the eye and tell him that he is the best in the world. Until then, they have nothing to talk about.

Punk unzips his hoodie and then he removes Jim Ross’ hat and he stomps on it.

Punk says that he doesn’t run away from fights. He has beaten John Cena enough times. The Thunder couldn’t beat the Heat and they don’t get another shot. They have to get back to the end of the line and they have to work their way back to the Best in the World.

What we have here is a squared circle. Inside this squared circle, men fight. They don’t run away. He has never run away and he never will. If Jim Ross is smart, he will walk away. If Jim does not put his hands up and defend himself, he will knock Jim into next week and he will never commentate a match again. He tells Jim to fight him or leave.

Jim turns around but Punk grabs him by the arm and he wants to know where Jim thinks he is going. Punk asks Jim if he thinks he is going to allow Jim to go back to the announce table to spin his rhetoric. He says that Jim does not get to do what he loves any more. He is going to walk the other way with his eyes down and his mouth shut. He wants everyone to see Jim do that walk of shame and slowly walk away. He tells Jim to do it now or he will put Jim in the dirt.

Punk calls Jim a joke and an embarrassment. He tells Jim to remember that he did that.

Ryback’s music plays while Jim Ross heads up the ramp.
